226 JANUARY 3, 1956 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Tuesday, January 3, 1956 at 11:00 A.M. All members were present. The Board of Safety ratified all action and business of the January 1, 1956 special Board of Safety Meeting. Irving J. Smith, City Attorney, was named chairman of the Board of Public Safety. POLICE DEPARTMENT: Chief Dutrieux was present and matters pertaining to his Department were discussed. Applications for tlB Police Department were received from Lawrence Wilson, Toothman, William Marquis Arbuckle and James Orlowski, and were placed on file. All action taken by the Board at a special meeting held on Sunday, January 1, 1956 with regard to promotions and demotions in the Police Department were ratified. FIRE DEPARTMENT: Chief Andrzejewski was present and matters pertaining to his depart- ment were discussed. All action taken by the Board at a special meeting on -Sunday, January 1956, with regard to promotions and demotions in the Fire Department were ratified. ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: Ira Hunsberger, Electrical Superintendent, was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 11:30 A.M.
