HO <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />The Police Department application of Jeff Rush, Jr., was examined and <br />ordered placed on file.. <br />The Board next took note of petition dated April 9, 1955, signed by <br />approximately twenty property - owners in the vicinity of the 2700 and 2800 <br />blocks of Bonds Avenue, and addressed to the Board, requesting the land- <br />scaping of the parkways and the prohibiting of playground activities upon these <br />parkways. This matter, being deemed by the Board to come .under the juris- <br />diction of the Superintendent of Parks, was ordered to be referred, includ- <br />ing an` accompanying 1 ^tter signed by Russell G.'Hunt, to Superintendent <br />Ralph A. Newman, with the'request' that an explanation be given the Board <br />regarding the-indicated misuse of the Bonds Avenue-.parkways.' <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: <br />Supt. Ira Hunsbergerts recommendation for the installation of a 6000 <br />lumen light on the northeast corner of Ford Street and Scenic Drive was <br />approved by the Board. <br />A recommendation to increase from 1000 lumen to 4000 lumen the light <br />located midway between Laurel and McPherson Streets, on Napier, was also <br />given the Board's approval. <br />There being no further business to aQme before the Board, the meeting <br />adjourned at 11:35 A.
