Airport Economic Development Area <br /> <br />(1) Proposal for refurbishment of former <br />EMI, Inc. Building and grounds (2020 <br />South Main St.) <br /> <br />Mr. Relos noted the Commission acquired <br />the property at tax sale and has the deed. <br />Over the past several months, the staff has <br />been planning for parallel tracks for reuse of <br />the EMI property: demolition and <br />rehabilitation. He gave a report on the status <br />of each track. <br /> <br />Option 1: Site Demolition/New Shovel <br />Ready Parcel <br />The Board of Public Works opened <br />demolition bids for the site on September 13. <br />The bids ranged from $176,206 to $217,328. <br />The demolition plan would clear the entire <br />site, replace all perimeter curb and walk. <br />The upside of this option would be to have a <br /> 15 <br /> <br />
