x <br />employee of the American Trust Company, to be a special police officer <br />of.the. City of South Bend. <br />The Hon. W. A. Hahn next appeared before the Board in the matter <br />of lighting needed for Ironwood Drive, north from Bader Avenue, and a <br />light required for property protection in the rear of 1282 N. Hill <br />Street. The records revealed that petitions in both matters were <br />referred by the Board to Superintendent Ira Hunsberger at the regular <br />meeting of the Board, Monday, April 5, 1954. The Board directed that <br />the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company be contacted with a view to <br />having their construction crew expedite these installations. <br />An invoice in the amount of 946.00 for the repair of a car be- <br />longing to Gertrude E. Shenef ield, damaged in accident,involving a <br />Police Department car, submitted by Yeager Motor Co., Inc., was next <br />examined by the Board, together with Officeris Report of Accident, <br />signed by Captain LT. J. Voelkel, under date of June 11, 1954. The <br />Board approved payment for the repairs, and directed the Clerk to <br />proceed accordingly. <br />The Police Department applications of Wayman Redding and William <br />E..Trethway were examined and ordered placed on file. <br />The Fire Department applications of Harold D. Chevillet, Jr. and <br />Norman J. Rubin were examined and ordered placed.on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11:05 A.
