The Board directed the Fire Chief to bring Fireman Schultz <br />before the Board at the next regular meeting, Monday, June 7th. <br />The Fire Protection Agreement between Portage Township and the <br />City of South Bend, for the year terminating December 31, 1954, and <br />bearing the signatures of the Township Trustee and two members of the <br />Advisory Board, was _next examined, approved, and signed by the Board. <br />Reports covering runs made by Engine Co. 11 into outlying area <br />on May 3rd and May 20th, were examined and ordered filed. <br />Report of Engine Company No. 3, a run made into Clay Township <br />on a false alarm, under date of May 22, was examined and ordered filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board,'the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11 :05 A. All members were present. Minutes of <br />the previous meeting were read and approved. Salary Claims in the <br />amount of $82,419.57, were approved. Duck, being present, placed with the Board <br />architects plans and specifications supplied by Maurer & Maurer., covering <br />an addition to be constructed for Fire Station No. 4. The Board examined <br />the plans and directed the Clerk to proceed with the required leagl adver- <br />tising to obtain bids on this construction. <br />Fire Chief Duck then brought to the Board's attention the case of <br />Fireman Robert J. Shultz, Jr., stating that in accordance with the Boardts <br />request he had brought Fireman Shultz for appearance before the Board. <br />The Board reviewed the Cass, the Fire Chief stating that the same bills <br />F m n u paid, as was the situation when Fireman Shultz was brought before <br />Reaioard on Marchlst. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
