Lill <br />The Fire Department's Injury Report for November was examined and <br />ordered filed. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br />The Police Department's need for sixteen new .38 caliber revolvers <br />was next brought to the attention of the Board. In view of the need <br />for this equipment and the trade -in value presently obtainable on the <br />obsolete pistols being replaced, the Board approved the immediate <br />consummation of this transaction and authorized the release of Purchase <br />Order BW33 70 issued in compliance with the current offer. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT <br />A petition dated November 20, 1953, calling for the installation <br />of a street light on the west side of Goodland Avenue, between Nos. 1221 <br />and 1225, was examined and referred to Superintendent Ira Hunsberger <br />for investigation and report. <br />A request for a street light at the corner of East Marshall and <br />Holiday Drive, submitted by C. Harry Swanson, Inc., under date of <br />December 4, 1953, was referred to Superintendent Hunsberger for in- <br />vestigation and report. <br />The- recommendation of Superintendent Hunsberger, for the in- <br />stallation of a 4000 lumen light at each of the following six locations <br />was approved by the Board: <br />Ardmore Trail and Sussex Drive <br />Canterbury Drive and Sussex Drive <br />Grove Street and Canterbury Drive <br />926 South 25th Street <br />North side of street at the dead end <br />of Chippewa Avenue near Golfview Lane <br />Between 924 and 934 Canterbury Drive <br />The, Police Department's Report for the month of October was received <br />and ordered filed. <br />There being no further business.to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11:45 A.
