9 in <br />A petition, dated May 29, 1953, calling for improved lighting on <br />Ewing Avenue, at the Douglas, Arnold and Webster Street intersections, <br />was referred to Superintendent Hunsberger for investigation and report. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: <br />Fire Chief, Richard J. Duc!k,' being present, called attention to the <br />urgent need for two Chemox.oxggen breathing apparatus to cost approximately <br />$160.00 each. The ..Board approved'the_ purchase of this equipment and <br />directed the Clerk to proceed in.the matter. <br />Reports of runs made into outlying area of Portage Township, by <br />Engine Companies Nos. 13 and 8, under. dates of May. 23rd and May 25th respec- <br />tively, were examined and ordered filed. <br />The Fire Department,;Injury Report for the month of Dlay was examined <br />and ordered filed. <br />There being no.further business to come before -the Board, the <br />meeting was ,adjourned at 11:45 A. M. <br />ainman <br />Attest: <br />Clerk <br />June 15, 1953 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held Monday, June 15, 1953, <br />at 10:00 A. M. Mr. Ziegler was absent. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and <br />approved.
