Gillen, being present, placed before the Board <br />a revised work schedule for the Police Department. The schedule was <br />examined and considered by the Board, and it was believed the im- <br />- proved schedule would be beneficial, both from the standpoint of <br />morale and - efficiency. The Board accordingly,,gave its consent to <br />the change in hourly schedule, as set forth in-the revision submitted <br />,by Chief Gillen, to become effective June 7, 1953. <br />The Police Auxiliary School Patrol application of Agnes H. Brainerd <br />was examined and ordered placed on file. <br />The offer of Ziker Cleaners to dry clean and store for the summer <br />vacation period, the uniforms of the Police - Auxiliary School Patrol, <br />at the same schedule of prices charged -for this service in 195, was <br />brought to the attention of the Board.- In consideration of the fact <br />that dry cleaning rates have, in general, increased in the past twelve <br />months, and the fact that Ziker Cleaners was the low bidder, among a <br />number of competitive bidders in 1952, and performed this service in <br />a manner entirely satisfactory to the department and the Board, it was <br />the decision of the Board to accept their offer, and the Clerk was <br />instructed to inform this firm accordingly. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 11 :30 A.
