REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 13, 2010 BILL NO. 59-10 FIRST READING ON A BILL FIXING MAXIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND NON- BARGAINING EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2011 This bill had first reading. Councilmember LaFountain made a motion to refer this bill to the Personnel and Finance Committee and set it for Public Hearing and Third Reading on September 27, 2010. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. BILL NO. 60-10 FIRST READING ON A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3609 WESTERN AVENUE, COUNCILMANIC DISTRICT 6, IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA This bill had first reading. Councilmember Rouse made a motion to refer this bill to Area Plan Commission. Councilmember Varner seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. UNFINISHED BUSINESS REPORTS FROM AREA BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS BILL NO. 10-43 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROVING A PETITION OF THE AREA BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1401 SOUTH LAFAYETTE BLVD., SOUTH BEND, INDIANA BILL NO. 10-44 A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROVING A PETITION OF THE AREA BOARD OF ZOING APPEALS OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT (2602) WESTERN AVENUE, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA) Councilmember Puzzello made a motion to refer Bill Nos. 10-43 and 10-44 to the Zoning and Annexation Committee and set for Public Hearing and Third Reading on September 27, 2010. Councilmember Rouse seconded the motion which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. Council President Derek Dieter stated that a letter had been sent to the members of the South Bend Common Council that are sponsoring Bill No. 30-10, advising them that they are to set the bill for Public Hearing.
