Summer program. Part of our programming at a Safe Haven is on Music Appreciation <br />and Music Instruction. Also we have an art program at a Safe Haven. The field trips <br />would enhance what the students have learned in the programs. <br />5) A request of $800 for office supplies for Weed & Seed. Costs are based on 10 ink jet <br />printer cartridges @ $40 each = $400 and printer paper, legal pads, pens, pencils, file <br />folders, manila folders and other miscellaneous supplies @ $400. <br />6) A request of $2,332 for uniforms and awards for anti gang basketball league. Costs <br />are based on 208 shirts @ $10 each, 208 shorts @ $10 each. Also 8 team trophies at $50 <br />each and 208 ribbons/certificates at .50 each. These costs will be reduced by 50% as the <br />remaining cost will be leveraged through local business sponsors. <br />Consultants/Contracts ($123,955) <br />1) A request of $48,653 will cover contractual costs for the full time Weed & Seed <br />Coordinator. The position will be contracted annually and the cost will cover pay plus <br />benefits. <br />2) A request of $6,000 will cover the costs for a part time position at Safe Haven site to <br />provide extended hours at the site. The cost is based on 1 instructor @ $12.00lhr x 10 <br />hours per week x 50 weeks. <br />3) A request of $4,224 will cover the costs of Instructors for the Anti-Gang Academy at <br />Safe Havens. There will be 44 weeks x 8 hours/wk x $12/hr x 1 instructors. <br />4) A request of $1,312 will cover the costs of Instructor and Assistant for Tennis <br />Recreation Program. The instructor will be paid $33/hr x 32 hours and the assistant will <br />be paid $8/hr x 32 hrs. The instructor will involve parents as well as you and use the <br />program to educate youth on tobacco, drug and alcohol prevention as well as esteem <br />building. <br />S) A request of $18,750 to cover the cost of an outreach worker for the CeaseFire <br />program, aimed at stemming gun and gang violence. The cost is based on 75% of <br />$25,000 salary for individual to work in Weed & Seed area as part of Anti-gang and anti- <br />gun campaigns. Approximately $11,489 is dedicated to Anti-Gang Special Emphasis. <br />6) A request of $4,600 for officials to officiate basketball games for the anti gang <br />basketball league. Cost is based on 92 total games for season x $25/game x 2 officials. <br />7) A request of $31,416 to continue with after school programming at Safe Haven. The <br />cost is based on an Administer salary of $15/hr x 14/hrs/wk x 44 weeks = $9,240 and for <br />3 instructors at $12/hr x 14/hrs/wk x 44 weeks = $22,176. This will continue the <br />tutoring, mentoring, homework assistance and reading programs. <br />
