ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br />DEPARTMENTAL AND CITY SERVICES OPERATIONS IN 2010 OF $110,000 <br />FROM GENERAL FUND ( #101), $600,000 FROM MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY <br />FUND (#202),$500,000 FROM LIABILITY INSURANCE FUND ( #226), AND <br />($58,000) FROM COUNTY OPTION INCOME TAX FUND ( #404) <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The Common Council passed the City's 2010 operating and capital budgets in <br />2009 (Ordinance 49956 -09 and #9993 -09) which included expenditures for various City <br />operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for operational <br />expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services to its citizens which <br />were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2010 and <br />set apart within the following designated funds for expenditures as follows: <br />Fund Amount <br />General ( #101) $ 110,000 <br />Motor Vehicle Highway ( #202) 600,000 <br />Liability Insurance ( #226) 500,000 <br />County Option Income Tax ( #404) _ (5$,000) <br />TOTAL 1 152 000 <br />Section 11.
