Arborist License Approval <br />a. San Mar Tree <br />b. Miramontes Tree Service <br />c. Peek’s Tree Experts, LLC <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to accept the renewals of the Arborist Licenses and Mr. <br />Mullins seconded the motion. It was passed <br />2. Requests for Use of Parks- <br />Ms. Harriman requested the Board approve the following requests: <br />a. Juneteenth - June 19-20, 2010 - LaSalle Park/Charles Black (tabled at 4/17 <br />meeting) <br />c. East Race Kayak Gear Swap Meet - June 19 and 20, 2010 - East Race <br />d. FOP 36 Fallen Officer Scholarship Motorcycle Ride - Howard Park - July 31, <br />2010 <br />e. First United Methodist Church - June 6- September 5, 2010 - Leeper Park <br /> f. Michael Jackson Tribute- August 29, 2010 -Seitz Park <br /> g. FOP 36 Disc Golf Tournament - July 17, 2010- Rum Village <br />Officer Russell Lupica made a presentation for the FOP 36 Disc Golf Tournament at Rum <br />Village on July 17. <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to approve the event. Dr. Kelly seconded the motion and it <br />was passed. <br />She stated that for the Juneteenth event, security will stay for an hour after the event is <br />scheduled to end and recommended approval. She recommended approval of all requests, <br />also. <br />Dr. Kelly made the motion to approve events A through F and it was seconded by Mr. <br />Mullins. The motion was approved. <br /> <br />3.Request to Approve Fees for Bouncers, Bicycle Rental, and Climbing Wall- Paul McMinn, <br />Mike Bueno <br />Mr. McMinn and Bueno requested an increase of the set up fee for the larger bouncees of <br />$25 for rentals outside South Bend to cover additional cost for personnel and travel. <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to approve the set up fee recommendation. Dr. Kelly <br />seconded the motion and it was passed. <br />Mr. McMinn requested the Board to approve a request to set fees for the climbing wall of <br />$5, bicycle rentals at O’Brien Fitness Center of $5, and rental of streetstriders at the East <br />Race. <br />Mr. Goodrich asked about liability on the bicycles. Mr. Bodnar discussed the waiver the <br />renters sign when renting. Mr. McMinn said that the waiver is based on the waiver used <br />in Central Park New York. Mr. Bodnar has approved the waiver form. <br />Mr. Goodrich asked if Mr. McMinn could provide a copy of the waivers and rules the <br />renters receive. <br /> - - 2 - - <br /> <br /> <br />
