b. Issue addenda as appropriate to interpret, clarify or expand the <br />Bidding Documents that are not directly related to an error or <br />omission from the ENGINEER. <br />c. Consult with and advise the OWNER as to the acceptability of <br />subcontractors, suppliers and other persons and organizations <br />proposed by the prime contractor (herein referred to as the <br />"Contractor") for those portions of the work as to which such <br />acceptability is required by the Bidding Documents. <br />d. Consult with the OWNER concerning and to determine the <br />acceptability of substitute materials and equipment proposed by the <br />Contractor when substitution prior to the award of contract is <br />allowed by the Bidding Documents. <br />e. Attend the bid opening, prepare bid tabulation sheets and assist the <br />OWNER in evaluating the bids or proposals. <br />14. Following approval of the tracings and the bidding process, the <br />ENGINEER will be responsible for attending the Pre-Construction <br />Meeting. <br />15. Construction Phase Office Services: The ENGINEER will provide design <br />support to the OWNER's Resident Project Engineer, as required and as <br />directed by the OWNER. The ENGINEER will meet at the project site with <br />the OWNER or their Resident Project Engineer, as required and as <br />directed by the OWNER, to assist in any matter that may arise during the <br />construction of the project. <br />F. Services resulting from significant changes in the general scope, extent or <br />character of the Project or its design including, but not limited to, changes in size, <br />complexity, OWNER's schedule, character of construction or method of <br />financing; and revising previously accepted studies, reports, design documents <br />or Contract Documents when such revisions are required by changes in laws, <br />rules, regulations, ordinances, codes or orders enacted subsequent to the <br />preparation of such studies, reports, or documents, or are due to any other <br />causes beyond ENGINEER's control, shall require a change in work as provided <br />by Section VI -General Provisions, Paragraph 11 titled "Changes in Work". <br />6 of 6 <br />Appendix "A" <br />
