Airport Economic Development Area <br /> <br />(6) continued… <br /> <br />recommending that the Commission request <br />a sub-grant for soil remediation at the former <br />stamping plant property with the <br />understanding that the project will use the <br />balance remaining in the grant after the two <br />projects listed above have finalized their sub- <br />grants. <br /> <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that much of the <br />remediation at this property took place <br />during the demolition of the stamping plant. <br />However, several portions of the site still <br />need remediation. Investigations have <br />identified chemicals of concern (COCs) in <br />soils that include volatile organic compounds <br />(VOCs), semi-volatile organic compounds <br />(SVOCs), total petroleum hydrocarbons <br />(TPH) and metals.
