<br />XII.Comments by the Recreation Director <br /> <br />1. Ms. O'Connor related that the Ice Rink shut down on March 8, a week early due to warmer <br />weather. <br />2. 394 participants were at the Mom/Son Dance at the Palais Royale. <br />3. An AAU Super Regional Basketball tournament for girls 11 and under was held last <br />weekend at Bethel College. There were ten teams. We received good reviews from the <br />participants. <br />th <br />4. Camp Awareness is celebrating its 50 anniversary. 365 have registered this year and there <br />are 29 openings left. <br />5. A ropes course is being planned for the Izaak Walton League. <br />6. Kid’s World has openings at this time. She feels that because of the economy, parents are <br />waiting until the last minute to sign up. <br />7. The climbing wall will be delivered in 3-4 weeks. <br />8. Softball will begin next week. <br />9. The equestrian trail ride has sold out. Two extra sessions have been added. <br />10. The Star Run will be held May 15. <br />11. Summer hiring is underway. <br /> <br />Mr. Nowacki requested the Board accept the donation of two flat screen TVs to Elbel by United <br />Digital Integrators. <br />Mr. Goodrich made a motion to accept the donation on behalf of the Park Department.
