South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting –April 23, 2010

6. NEW BUSINESS

A. South Bend Central Development Area

(6) continued…

enough TIF to cover the costs. Mr. Inks
responded that there is about $3,000,000 in
the account now. We expect to get part of
the 2010 tax settlement this year to add to
that, and there are at least five years
remaining for the TIF area to generate the
balance.

CRN.2672
Upon a motion by Ms. King, seconded by
OMMISSION APPROVED ESOLUTION O
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the
AMA
AN DDENDUM TO THE ASTER GENCY
Commission approved Resolution No. 2672
A(MSS-C
GREEMENT ICHIGAN TREET URVE
approving and authorizing execution of an
R)
EMOVAL
Addendum to the Master Agency Agreement
(Michigan Street S-Curve Removal)

B. Airport Economic Development Area

(1) Proposal for Planning and Design Services
related to improvements in and around
Oliver Industrial Park.

Mr. Schalliol noted that the retention pond at
Oliver Industrial Park has been completed.
That being done, staff solicited a proposal
from Danch, Harner & Associates to provide
a variety of planning and design services
related to planned improvements within and
adjacent to the Oliver Industrial Park on
Chapin Street. The scope of work proposed
would allow for planning and design for the
Oliver Chilled Plow Memorial Sculpture
Plaza, incorporation of a pedestrian pathway
system through the park connecting the
Arnold Street bike network corridor to the
Chapin/United Drive bike network corridor,
and planning and design for entry signage for
18
