Hardy Ahsebt. <br />This being the date set for hearing various remonstrances filed <br />against the amount of benefits and damages on OPening of Street known as William St. <br />Atty. Sobnmers appeared with Lorenz Lederer and amount of damages on <br />properly owned by LedereT discussed but no agreement signed. <br />Attyb. A. E. MaVtin and Avty Bibberd appeared with client a property <br />owner on proposed William Street and discussed remonstrance but no agreement signed. <br />J. S. McCowan anti Mrs. McCowan appeared and discussed remonstrance <br />but no agreement signed . <br />Atty. G. A. Elliott, with Mrs. Helene Lamport', Iden S. Romig., <br />representing Mrs. Florence Miller, Atty Bertsch representing Mrs. Mary Meyer, <br />signed the following form of agreement. <br />Before the Board of Pudic Works of the City of South Bend, Ind. <br />In the matter of Condemnation Resolution No. 83 for the Opening <br />of a street from Colfax Avenue sond La Salle Avenue and Lincoln <br />Way West and from Marion Street to Navarre Street known -.as William <br />Street. <br />Toe undersigned, having heretofore filed remonstrance against <br />assessments 6 benefits against the property as shown by said assessment roll hereby <br />agrees that if there is a reduction of 30 per cent, made in said assessment by- the Board <br />of Public Works, that they will withdraw their remonstrance against said assessments <br />and will pay said reduced assessment. _ <br />That if said reduction is not made by said Board, said remonstrance <br />will not be affected in any way by this agreement'. M. <br />Wrdday May 22nd.9 1925. <br />Board met in special session at 1:30 P.M. L. P. Hardy absent, <br />Mayor Seebirt and J. F. Anderson Engineer, Appraisers Ed Neddo, Philip E. Bondurant <br />and. Frank J. Anderson present. <br />Attys. Woodson Carlisle, Samuel Parker A. G. Graham appeared in <br />regard to remonstsanees filed for clients and Woodson Carlisle signed a 30per cent <br />reduction in maris Studebaker8s assessment of benefits. Richard Elbel signed a 30 per <br />cent reduction and the error in calantation to be corrected, and the benefits assessed <br />to be $550,00 instead of $650,00 A. G. Graham and Smsuel Parker and Woodson Carlisle <br />agreed to discuss this 30 per cent reduction in assessments of benefits with Clients <br />and return agreements if signed. <br />
