56-6 <br />of the New York Central Railroad Company leading to the Oliver Chilled Plow <br />Works: and the" grade of said street from the southerly rail of the last above. - <br />mentioned track shall bea descending grade `d'f five (`5) feet to each one <br />h ndned (100)'feet until it intersects the presenrt grade of Arnold Streets <br />e cept that. vertical"curves forty (40) feet=in Length shall be provided at th, <br />the upper- and lower ends of the opproa;bh. <br />The grade of Hancock Street,,, where it intersdct;s Arnold Street <br />on tte. east side, shah be changed so as to conform to the grade of Arnold <br />Street as fixed above, and then descend at 'the -rate of Five-: ("5) feet to -eaoh <br />one hundred (100) feet until it intersects, the present st,.x,eet grade a-t Hancok <br />ganeodk Street, except that vertical curve forty (40) feet in length shall be <br />provided at the upper and lower ends of the -grade as changed. <br />'The grade of Huron Street:; where it intersects Arnold Street <br />on the west"side, shall be changed so as to conform to the grade of Arnold <br />`;Street as fixed abo-vet'-and then descend�at the rate of five (5) feet to each <br />gone hundred (100) feet until it intersects the _present street grade of Huron <br />Street, except that.vertical curves'forty (40) feet in length shall be pro- <br />vided at the upper and dower ends of the grade as changers. <br />(4) , .CHAPIN . STR44T%; At the hitersection of Chapin Street and <br />the �tracks. of said railroad the surface of said street shall be depressed <br />seven and th�rty-nine. hundredths (7.39) feet below the top sf the south rail <br />of the west bound main -track as now maintained at said intersections, the <br />elevation of said .`rail being 63.58 when referred to South Bend datum and 1 <br />148,79 when referred to New York.Central datum; the clearnace shall be <br />fifty"een `(15) feet betwee n the surface of "thC'street as fixed above and the <br />superstructure over said street; then grade of said streei6 under the super- <br />structure shall be level. The grade of the apporaeh of said street north <br />shall be -a level grade from the north line of the superstructure to a point <br />eight (80) fee,t north of the north line of Dunn Street. The grade of the <br />approach on the south shall be a level to a'point twenty five (25) feet, <br />south of the south line of the superstructure ,and shall then be an ascending <br />grade two and one-half (2 j) feet to each orie hundred (100) fees until it in- <br />tersects the present grave of the street,, except that vertical curves sixty <br />(60) feet in length shall be provided at the upper and lower ends of the <br />grade as changed on the south side of the superstruotuTe(, <br />15) The grade of Dunn Street, which intersects Chapin Street <br />at a point iiumediately north of the tracks of daid railroad shall be changed <br />and the grade east from fthe east line of Chapin Street as fixed at No. 4 <br />above, shall be an ascending grave three (3) feet in each one hundred (100) <br />feet until it intersects hhe present grade of Dunn Street; except that <br />vertical curves sixty (60) feet in length shall be provided at the tipper <br />and lower end of the grade as changer. <br />(6) Scott Street; At the intersection of Scott Street and the. <br />tracks of said railroad, the surface of said street shall be depressed three <br />() feet below the top of the south rail of the west bound -main track as now <br />maintained at said interse etion, the elevation of said rail being 64.20 <br />when referred to South Bend datum and, 149.41 when referred to New York Centrd <br />datum, Clearance shall be twelve and one-half (1*) feet between the sur- <br />face of the street as fi xed above and the superstructure over said,street; <br />the -grade of the approach of said street north from the north line of the <br />superstructure shall be a straight line until it intersects the present..grade <br />of Scott Street at the south line of Dunn. Street, and the grade of the <br />approach from the south line of the superstructure shall be a straight line <br />until it intersects- the present grade of Scott Street at the north line of <br />Fora Street. <br />f <br />(7) The grade of the first alley north of Ford Street, which <br />alley intersects Chapin Street and Scott Street, shall be changed and the <br />grade of said alley east from the east line of Chapin Street as established <br />in No. 4 above shall be an ascending grade of three (3) feet to each hundred <br />(100) feet, until it intersects the present grade of said alley; except that <br />vertical curves forty (40) feet in length shall be provided at the upper <br />and lower ends of the grade as changed; and the grade of sgid alley west of <br />the west line of scott Street, as established in No. 6 above, shall be .- <br />an ascending grade of three (3) feet to each one hundred (100) feet until <br />it intersects the present grade of said alley, except that vertical murves <br />forty (40) feet in length shall be provided at the upper and lower ends of th <br />the grade as changed. <br />
