A. Davis Building Commissioner with Juluis Christman Contractor appeared and asked information regarding the changing of their plans In the building of a new wall on the south side of their building at the corner of Colfax Avenue and Main Street , instead of -repairing the old wall. Mr. Davis Building Commissioner upon questioning made the statement that the entire building was to be taken as one unit and the single store roan on the corner and under the estimate of the repairs are less than 50por cent of the value of the BvilcUng ,is still within the jurisdiction of the Building Code. The Building Commissioner was informed that if the repairs were allowed under the Building Code the Board had no jurisdiction . If the repairs exceed the amount permitted by the Building Code any action by the Board would nullify the Code and any action which the Board would direct to take. Engineer signed assessment rolls anf final estimates as follows: - Shoot asphalt pavement on 33rd. Street from Mishawaka Ave. to Grand Trunk Western R. R. under Improvement Resolution No. 1418. Widening and Sheet asphalt j&avonent on Lafayette Street from a paoint 445 feet south of Bronson Street to Sample Street, under Improve- ment Resolution No. 1370. Assessment roll adopted and final estimato allowed. Notice of adoption of the assessment roll and of hearing upon, the sane on the 22nd. day of October 1924 at 7:15 P.M. ordered published as provided by law. 3n ivor of Kessler Blvd. for water connections approved. ( See files.) Petition received read and placed on file for pavement on E. Oakside Street fiom South Michigan Street to Fellows Street. Petition roeeeved for the opening of Koscisuako Street between Indiana Avenue and' Prairie Avenue►. Resolution ordered. Petition received for light at corner of Donald Street and Vernon Street and at corner of Follows Street and Eckman Street, also corner of Lincoln Way West and Fremont Street or Fremont Street between Lincoln Way West and Humboldt Street.
