<br />STREET OR ALLEY IMPROVEMENT RESOLITTION NO. 1396.
<br />Be It Resolved by the Board -.of Public Works of the City of South Bend,
<br />St, Joseph.,County, State of Indiana, that it is dgsired and deemed necessary
<br />to improve the alley be-tween Portage Avenue -end Ashland Avenue from Rex Street
<br />to Portage Court as follows, to -wits-
<br />-Said alley shall be graded<and the :roadway
<br />thereof shall be paved; also the roadway of certain portions of the streets -and
<br />alleys which enter or intersect said alley shallg,t graded and paved. The paving
<br />material to bo u:sed in making said improvement shall be sheet asphalt, bitulithia,
<br />Brick ror lortland cement concrete seven (7) inches thick, and the foundation
<br />shall be portland cement concrete six (6) inches thick for the skest.aspheilt
<br />bitiilithicm or brick on rolled gravel six (6) inches thick fo the brick, storm.
<br />water inlets and conduits shall be constructed where .fiecessary; all storm water
<br />inlets and manhole tops shall be set to the proper grade; cement marginal curb
<br />- shall be constructed at:all street mid alley intersections where necessary, all
<br />as is more particularly,shown and x1sax in accordance with the plans, profiles,
<br />detail drawings and specifications on file in the office of the Department of
<br />public -Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
