She <br />suggested that $155,000 be used for the <br />individuals in the program. <br /> <br />Mr. Varner said he, too, was surprised at the <br />amount of money used for administration. <br />The Commission is not going to be able to <br />continue to provide funds at the level it has <br />until now. As a small businessman, if his <br />revenue goes down, administrative costs <br />have to be reduced accordingly. He didn’t <br />believe other non-profit agencies could have <br />administrative costs that are that high a <br />percentage of their budget. <br /> <br />Mr. Varner agreed that the Commission does <br />not have enough funds for Youthbuild as <br />well as Project Impact. He was willing to <br />second Ms. King’s motion if she intended it <br />to be a motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Blake took issue with the phrase “go <br />toward the participants. If you go to Ivy <br />Tech or to Indiana University, how does the <br />money you pay Ivy Tech or other <br />universities, how does that money go toward <br />the participants? It goes to them in their <br />being trained. So, every penny Project <br />Impact gets is going to the participants.” <br /> <br />Ms. King: I don’t argue with you on that. <br />But, I respectfully disagree.
