<br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No 1323 for Grade, Curb and Walk
<br />on bothsides and Sidewalk on East side of Gertrude Stre'e't from Prairie Avenue to
<br />Ewing Avenue in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />Upaln said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance
<br />was filed. Mr. Iden S. Romig appeared in fovarof the improvement. -The Board being
<br />-fully ddvised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be
<br />a s sessed ' for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the samE j ws reported
<br />bythe City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as
<br />originally adopted and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed'and
<br />approved..
<br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 30th day of April, 192e
<br />and -on the 7th day of May, 1924, in the South Bend News Times and South Bend Tribune
<br />in said City, stating that this Neard will receive bids far the eenstruetion of said
<br />improvement up to 10:00 A.M. on the 20th day of May,'1924. The Board reserves the
<br />right to reject any -and all bids.
<br />Hearing had on Condemnation Resolution No. 113 for an Easment fe a Trunk.
<br />SewerG' George Witwer, Walter McInerny, L. G. Palmer, Claude Taylor, William` Moore,
<br />Vitus Jones and F. C. Raff appeared. Hearing continued one week until April 16th,
<br />1924, at 7:15 P.M. A new eAsement t6 be submitted to Board by Studebaker Trustees to
<br />describe the route.
<br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 1322 for 'Pavement and_ Wicbe:ning
<br />of Lafayette Street from New York Central Railroad to a point 703 feet nth, in the
<br />City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />Upon saidhearing,ne remonstrators eppeared and no written remonstrance
<br />was filed. Mr. Austin of the Studebaker Corporation, requested that pavement be ex -tended south to Sample Street. Mr. Anderson, City Engineer, said that a new resolu-
<br />tion was to be prepared for this extension. The Beard, being fully advised in.the
<br />promises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be..assessed for said
<br />improvement are equal to the estimated cost 6 the same, as reported by the b ity '
<br />Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolutian as originally
<br />adopted and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
<br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 30th day of April,
<br />1924 and on the 7th day *f ?day, 1924, in the South Bend News Times and South Bend
<br />Teibune in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the•construction
<br />Of said improvement up to 10:00 A.M. on the 20th day of May, 1924. The Boarded reserves
<br />the right to reject any and all bids.
<br />Hearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 84 for Widening of Napoleon
<br />Street in the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance
<br />xa s filed. The Board therefore sustain all former action taken, and declare the
<br />above described property in all things, condemned and appropriated for public use and
<br />this resolution in all things, ratified, confirmed and approved.
<br />The Board further ordered that the City Engineer be instrue.ted to prepare
<br />a roll of a 1 owners or holders of property and of -valuable interests therein sought
<br />be' taken or to be injuriously affected, which list or roll shall also describe the
<br />property beneficially aFfected and show the awards a-f damages and assessments of
<br />benofits in the above matter.
<br />Deferred hearing had on Pipe Sewer on Brea4way from the manhole at the
<br />east end of the Broadway sewer to the first alley west of Maimi Street. The Boand,
<br />after hearing all interested parties, decided -to rescind all former action taken
<br />on this resolution and thereupon, granted permission to attach to adjacent sewer under
<br />supervision of City Engineer.

<br />Hearing had on Vacation Resolution Net 85 for the vacation of an alley in
<br />illis A. Bugbee's 1st.Addition•to the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance
<br />was filed. The Board therefore sustain all former action taken on said resolution
<br />and declare the above described property in all things vacated and this resolution in
<br />411 things ratified, confirmed and approved. There was a deod given to the City of
<br />So%tth Bend of the land in question in this -resolution by Joseph-C. Woodward and Agnes
<br />Woodward, approved by the Beard under date of March 5, 1924,
