All members present. <br />This being the date set for the deferred hearing on Vacation Resolution <br />No. 84 for the, Vacation of a part of St. Peter.Street from Division Street to first alley <br />north and the alley between St: Louis Blvd, and St. Peter Street north of Division Street$ <br />all in the City of South Bond, Indiana. a <br />Upon said hearing Atty. A. G. Grahaa appeared representing Goo. Cutter <br />Company (now Westinghouse Electric Company)and requested that said petitions be granted <br />and resolution confirmed.Frank`J. Greene Secy. of the Chamber of Commerce appeared and <br />Aresented communication which was lead and placed -on file. Mr Wm Gammon, ugh Tanse <br />ndrew Troeger and Mr. Dugdale prope t wners on St. Peter Street appeared aggainst,he <br />vacation of St. Peter Street, but no fw remonstrance was filed. The Boare3 therefore <br />sustain all former action 1,aken on said resolution and declare the above.described property <br />in all things vacated and this resolution in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />And the Board.now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners <br />or holders of property and of valuable interests.therein sought to be taken or to be injuriou <br />affected which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially'affeeted <br />a <br />Copy of communication from Cababor of Commerce. <br />South Bend, Indiana. Slaughter, Che i rman, <br />Board. of Publl a `forks, <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Dear Mr. Slaughter: $ <br />The writer has been instructed by the Local Industries Committee of <br />the Community Developement Committee of the Chamber of Commerce to supplement to you and. <br />your Associates on the Board of Public Works the public action of the Committee as made before <br />your Body, Wednesday evening, February 27th., in the matter of the proposed closing of SZz <br />Peter Street: <br />It is the unAnimous opinion of the Exautive Committee as well as than <br />of the Local Industries Committee, that the protest against the closing of the Street is not <br />based on fact and that failure to close the street at this time will work a hardship on the <br />Westinghouse-Georga. Cutter organization in that their. proposed plans for expansion will not <br />be possible; anal furthermore, it .is the. McINttyre appeared before the Board and the matter of adjusting assessment area <br />on The River Park Trunk sewer System under Improvement Resolution No. 1283 was discussed, <br />After various suggestions were made by Attys Ltd. Engineer present, the Board advised parties <br />present to discuss this matter between the various parties interested and.the Board, hereby <br />continues this g until Wedneaday March 5th.9 1924 at 7:15 P.M. <br />
