Wednesday February 2,7, 1924. Continued. WHEREAS, by the said proposed plan no consideration is given to the elevation of the,traeks of the aforesaid railroad companies at�the several crossings over which the tracks of -said railroad companies cross between Chapin and Olive Streets; Therefore, be it resolved that it is the sense of this meeting that. we cigtizets t�t d residents .o.f the WIst Ade of th� lit of City of South Benel,, ark a a ns the propose pan or track a evat on of t e New York Central Railroad Company, and of the Grand Trunk Western Railway Company because it does not include the crossings Vver which the tracks of the said railroad companies cross between Chapin and Olive Streets; and BE it resolved further that it,_is the -sense of this meeting that the citizens and residents of the West Side, of the city,of South Bend, are in favor of the track elevation of the several railroads providing such elevation includes the street crossings between Chapin and_Olive streets inclusive; and BE it further resolved that it is the sense of this meeting that if for any reasnn and for reasons the elevation of the tracks. of the aforesaid railroad companies cannot, include. the street crossings over which the tracks.of the aforesaid companies vroses between Chapin and Olive Streets inclusive then She Question of track elevation of the aforesaid railroad companies remain.;in abeyance until such time as the said reason and / or.reasnss be eliminated; and BE ib further resalved that it is the sense of this meeting that the presiding officer name a committee of five persons whose duty it shall be to sign this resolution as a committee for and in behalf of the persons present at this meeting and for and in behalf of the citizens and residents of the cifry of South Bend represented by the members present at this meeting, and present same to the Board of Public Works in a form of a proper petition as a remonstrance against said resolution No. 4, and sign said remonstrance for and.in behalf of the persons present at this meeting as : a catmnittee of said persons and for and behalf f of the citizens add.residents of the West Side represented by sAid persons.. Toth Emery Borinyai The following resolution was adopted at a mass meeting of approximately 70 citizens and residents of the 2nd Ward representing approximately 300 citizens and voters of the city of South Bend, held on February 24, 19249 at Club Hall, to the authenticity and geniuness of which the undersiggned, ditizen.s - and residents of South Bend, certiTy to as a committee appointed for said and other purposes: RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, the Boare of Public Works of the city of South Bend, St. Joseph Cannty, State of Indiana, by resolution known as Board of Public Works Resolution No. 3, Peocisinf doe Grade SePeration, proposes to adopt a certain roposed plan as described in said Resolution For the elevation of the railroad p tracks :of :the New York Central Railroad Company, and of the GRAND Trunk Western 4a,11way Company; and WHEREAS, by the said proposed plan no consideration is given to the elevation of the tracks of the aforesaid railroad companies at the several cros- sings over which the tracks of said railroad companies cross between Chapin and Olive Streets; THEREFORE, be it resolved that it is the sense of this meeting that we, citizens and residents of the West Side, of the Ciry of South Bead, are against the present proposed pl n for track elevation of the New York Central Railroad Company, and of the Gnd Trunk Western Ra-ilway Comp any because it, dees not include the crossings over which the tracks of the said railroad companies cross between Chapin and Olive Streets; and BE it resolved further that it is the sense of this meeting that the citizens and residents of the West Side, of the city of South Bend, are in favor of the track elevation of the several railroads providing such elevation includes the stree6crossings between Chapin and Olive Streets inclusive; and BE it further resolved that it is the sense of this meeting that if fo r'any reason and / or reasons the elevation of the tracks of the aforesaid rail- road companies cannot include the street crossings over which the tracks of the aforesaid comapanies crones between Chapin and Olive STreets inclusive then the question of track elevation of the aforesaid railr.companies remain in abeyance until such time as the said reason and / � - r". tons be eliminated; and
