South Bend Redevelopment Commission Regular Meeting –March 5, 2010 C Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by OMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES RELATED TO Ms. King and unanimously carried, the NCSS. ORTHWEST ORNER YCAMORE T AND Commission approved the proposal for CA.I OLFAX VENUE N AN AMOUNT NOT TO professional services related to Northwest $3,000/(RR) EXCEED FORMER INK IVERSIDE SITE Corner Sycamore St. and Colfax Avenue. In an amount not to exceed $3,000/ (former Rink Riverside site) (5) Resolution No. 2659 approving and authorizing the execution of an Addendum to the Master Agency Agreement (Coveleski Stadium Improvements Phase 1A, Project 1) Mr. Schalliol noted that on February 5, 2010 the Commission approved a Resolution and addendum to master agency agreement with Populous for the design and construction planning for Phase 1A improvements to Coveleski Stadium. As we are completing the design and specifications, we are ready to move forward to bid those projects. Phase 1A of Project 1 is for Field Lighting, Field Wall Pads and Backstop Netting. These three items are in the process of being quoted through the South Bend Board of Public Works and it is anticipated that quotes will be received by the Board on March 15, 2010. The project, based on an engineer’s estimate, should not exceed $750,000, depending on the options that are most appropriate for the project. This approval is necessary to authorize funding to allow for the quotes to be awarded on March 15th and allow Project 1 to move forward as soon as possible. As part of Exhibit A of the Addendum, staff recommends a not-to-exceed budget amount of $750,000 for Project 1. Staff doesn’t expect the quotes to be that high.
