All members present. <br />Minutes of meetings held January 3rd., and January 4th., 1928, read <br />The Board signed the contract with The Northern Indiana Construction <br />Company for the construction_ of:a local sewer in Lawton "''treet between Olive aid <br />Bendix Drive under Improvement Resolution Ho.I972. The Board also approved the construe <br />ion bond for same in the amount of A3 396.60 which is I00 0 of the contract price signed <br />by the Employers Liability Insurance Co. <br />The Board approved the following renewal bonds <br />Walter J. Braunsdorf & Son, excavation bond signed by Maryland Casual <br />Company. <br />William H. Burke, excavation bode signed by Maryland Casualty Co. <br />Dorris L. Briggs, excavation bond signed by the Globe Indemnity Co. <br />Oswn Eulitz, excavation bond signed by Hartford Accident & Indemnity <br />Company. <br />R Guarantee bond of C. �, Reesh for the local sewer in 20th., Street <br />between Jefferson and McKinley under Improvement Resolution No.I92I signed by the Metro <br />politan Casualty Insurance Coy, for 58I.92, which is I0% of the construction cost of same!. <br />The Board approved the following sales of buildings in connection with <br />the Kline Ltrdet widening: <br />Pletcher Garage located at I460 Lincoln Way lust G 50.00 <br />Grossnickle +`louse located at 1625 Kline Street @800.00 <br />Thurel Garage located at I50I E. Bowman Street @ 5.50 <br />Kelsey Garage located at 1502 E. Calvert Street 0 5.00 <br />The Board approved the recommendation of i1m. F. Qual.ls for a pole <br />line installation on High Street as petitioned for by the Indiana & Michigan Electric <br />Company in their letter of January 9th. , 1928. <br />The Board approved the installation of a 4000 lumen light at the <br />corner of Greenlavrn and Hildreth Streets at a cost of $45.00 per year, game ordered. <br />City Engineer, 14r. H. G. Wray, submitted a petition signed by 55 0 <br />of the <br />property owners in Morris Park Addition for the pavement of Kinyon Street, Ander-' <br />son Street and Meddra Street with sheet asphalt pavement: <br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. ,`fray, filed plans, specifications and estima' <br />and the Board adopted a resolution for the construction of sheet asphalt pavement on <br />Kinyon Street from the west line of Portage Avenue to the west line of Morris Park <br />II Addition; Anderson Street from the south line of Keller Street to the north line of <br />Bulla Street; and Medora street from the south, line of -Keller 6treet to the north line <br />of Bulla ''treet under Improvement resolution No.I98I, as petitioned for by 550o� of the <br />I property owners, all in accordance with the method and manner provided for in Chapter <br />No. <br />236 of the Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana approved March, loth..; <br />I 1921. In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby appoints Charles <br />V. Cole t,o act as engineer in connection with said improvement. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders <br />that on the 25th., day of January 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City; <br />Hall at 7-I5 P. 1-I., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons. whose property <br />may be affected by said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the several <br />lots and parcels of land will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by <br />the Engineer. The Board further orders that notice of said hearing shall be published <br />in the Louth Bend News limes and Tribune on the I4th. , day of January 1928 according to <br />law. <br />;e <br />City Engineer, R'ir. In the above named improvement'. <br />the Board hereby appointis Charles W. Cole to a.ct as engineer, as petitioned for by 55% j <br />of the property miiners. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders <br />that on the 25th. , day of January I928, this Board will meet in their office in the City'j <br />Hall at 7-I5 P.
