TUESDAY JANUILRY 3rd., I928. Board met in regular session at 9 A. M. All members present. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed partial estimaue No. I for the grading improvement of the first alley south of C lvert Street from Chapin Street to I Kendall Street, in accordance with the terms of tie contract between the City and H. W. j Plumbeck, contractor, under Improvement Reeolution No.I966. Board signed and approved i 1 same in the amount of $76.50. The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Hoban and Roach, contractors, for the pavement of the Ist. , alley north of Marion 6treet from h1a3hn: Street to the Ist. alley east of Main 6treet under Improvement Resolution No.I958. Board approved same in the amount of .160.14, which is 10% of the construction cost of same, signed by the Southern Surety Co. The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Hoban and Roach, contractors, for the pavement on' Turnock Street from South Bend Avenue to Corby Street under Improve- ment No.I862. Board approve;; same in the amount of $603.25 which is IO% of the c6nstruc ion of same, signed by the Southern Surety Co. The Board approved the following Excavation Bonds Excavation Bond of Louis Niesgodski.in the amount of ,�I,000.00 signed by the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Go. excavation bond of Ernest C. Traver in the amount of $I,000.00 signed by the Columbia Casualty Co. Excavation bond of Adoplh Dutrieux ? Co., in the amount of $I,000.00 i,signed by the Fidelity and Casualty Co., of Novi York. Excavation Bond of United Heating and Plumbing Co., in the amount of :$I,000.00 signed by the Fidelity and Casualty Co., of New York. The New York Central Railroad Company, thvough Mr. Button, it's Grade Separation Engineer, requested permission of the Board of Works to construct__ their cente pieces at Lafayette Boulevard, in connection with the grade separation work, around the existing sewer. The Board grafted this request with the understanding that if this arrangement of encasing the existing sewer was not satisfactory, the City of South Bend would. by p:_blic contract, divert the existing sewers on bIa;in and Michigan Streets in connection with the grade separation work at these points. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. 17ray, filed primary assessment roll for the sewer in Donald Street from the alley east of Leer Street to Sampson Street under Impr ment Resolution No.I798. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 25th. , day of January, I9289 this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall -at 7-15 P. TIi , to hearand receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been j assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been or will be benefited in the amour named on said assessment roll or in a greater or less amount than that named on said ro1 _The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published on the Nth.,
