<br />Board met in regular session at 7-15 P. Y, All members present.
<br />Due to the large number of persons present the meeting adjourned to
<br />the Council Chambers.
<br />This being the date set, hearin-_s were had on the following improve-
<br />ment resolutions:
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I962 for the construction of a local sewer
<br />on Anderson Avenue between Elwood Avenue knd King Street. (See files for copy of
<br />resolution.)
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I955 for the pavement on Bertrand Street
<br />from Johnson Street to Bendix Drive. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I956. for the grade, curb and walk improve-
<br />ment on High Street from Fairview Avenue to Donmoyer Avenue. (See files for copy of
<br />resolution.)
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators
<br />appeared and no written remonstrances were filed, and the Board, being fully advised
<br />In the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land
<br />liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated coats of
<br />same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, takes final action on
<br />said Improvement Resolutions No.I962, No.I955 and No.I956, and declares same in all
<br />things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution
<br />No.I964 for the pavement of Kinyon Street from Portage Avenue to first alley west of
<br />Medora Street.
<br />In the above named improvement -`resolution, remonstrators appeared
<br />and the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides to rescind all former actic
<br />taken on said improvement resolution and declares same null and void and the proceeding
<br />closed.
<br />This being the date set, h6e ring was had on Improvement Resolution
<br />No.I963 for the pavement of Queen Street from Portage Avenue to Blaine Avenue.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board decides to
<br />dontinue hearing on same for two weeks and sets November I6th., 1927, as the time
<br />when -final action will be taken on said improvement resolution.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution
<br />No.I959 for the pavement of the alley west of Maple Street from Napier Street to alley
<br />north of Jefferson Blvd.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared an
<br />a written remonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises,
<br />finds that the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said impro-
<br />vement, will be benefited in accordance with the estimated cost of same as reported by
<br />the City Engineer. The Board therefore, decides to over rule said remonstrance and
<br />declares said improvement resolution in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
<br />The Board orders written ..emons-trancedfiled with Cit-.,- Engineer for final check.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution
<br />No.2960 for the grading of the alley west of Wilber street from Humbolt Street to Elwo
<br />Avenue.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared

<br />and the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides to modify said resolution
<br />to read "from Humbolt Street to the first alley north of Humbolt". The Board, therefore,
<br />takes final action on said modified resolution, declaring same in all things ratified,
<br />confirmed and approved as modified.
<br />The Board signed the contract with .Hoban and Roach for the pavement
<br />of the first alley north of Marion Street from Main street to the first alley east of
<br />Main Street under Improvement Resolution No.I958. The amount of the contract being
<br />572.70 and the construction bond for 100% f the eontrac t price signed by the Southe.
<br />Surety Co., was also approved and signed by the Board.
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. gray, filed partial estimate No.I for the
<br />pavement improvement on Parry Street from Division Street to the fifth alley south of
<br />Division Street, in accordance with the contrast between the City and Williston Construct-
<br />ion Co., under Improvement Resolution No.I897. Board signed and approved same in the
<br />amount of I0,187.50.
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed partial estimate No.I for the
<br />pavement improvement on Ewing Avenue from Michigan Street to the west line of Franklin
<br />Street, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and Williston
<br />Construction Co., under Improvement Resolution No.I899. Board signed and approved
<br />same in the amount of I7,28I.01.
<br />City ineer, Mr. H. G. 't1ra 1 y a Engy, filed partial estimate No.I for the
<br />grade, curb and walk improvement on High 'street 'between Du.bail Avenue and Bowman Street;,,
