488 <br />Wednesday, October 26th., 1927. <br />jBoard met in regular session at 7-I5 PDX. All members present. <br />i Due'to the large number of persons present, the meeting adjourned <br />I to the Council Chambers. <br />This being the date set, hearin& was had.on the assessment roll <br />I for the pavement of Elmer treet from Frederickson street to Lincoln Way lest under <br />Improvement Resolution No.I882. <br />!� In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared <br />and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board being hilly advised in the premise' <br />finds that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement <br />have been benefited in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore, tapes <br />final' action on said Assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirm-1 <br />ed and approved and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment <br />roll delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />I ! <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll <br />for the pavement of Lincoln. Way Vlest from west line of Wilber Street to the west line : ' <br />of Olive �'treet under Improvement Resolution No.I8I5. <br />u <br />In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared and <br />written remonstrances were filed by the following: <br />Hannah Hardman, friary A. --Hardman Obenchain through their -attorneys <br />Jones and Obenchain; The New York Central nailway Co, ; a� <br />After hearing -all persons interested in or affected by said impro <br />vement and being fully advised in the premises, the Board finds that the several lots <br />and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the <br />amounts shown on said assessment roll. The Board., therefore, tares final action on <br />said assessment roll and declares same in all things rttified, confirmed and approved !� <br />I without modification and the proceedings closed. J. Nees, company, contractors. Board signed and <br />approved some in the amount of 18,217.87. <br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G.'dray, submitted partial estimate No.I <br />for the grade, curb and walk improvement on College Street from Hamilton Street to <br />Bergan Street in accordance with the terms. of the contract between the City and A. E. <br />Anderson, contractor, The Board signed and approved same in the amount of 2,967.35. <br />The Board approved a driveway at the west end of lots 105 and I06 <br />Original plat. <br />City Lrigineer, Mr. H. G. .-dray, filed primary assessment rolls as <br />follows: <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of alley between Walnut Street <br />and Maple ''treet from Division 6treet to Napier Street under Improvement Resolution <br />No.I857. <br />Assessment roll for the grade, curb and walk improvement on <br />Nineteenth Street and Wilson Avenue and lashington Avenue under Improvement Resolution <br />No,I93I. <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of the alleysbit-.Summitt._Pldcet-d <br />fifthResolution No.I88I. <br />In all of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby order <br />that on the 2nd., day of November, I927, this Board will meet in their office in the <br />City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose <br />property has been.assessed for said mmprovements and will decide whether the benefits <br />to the several lots and parcels of land which have been assessed for said improvements <br />are equal to the amounts shown on said assessment roll or in a greater or less amount.. <br />The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published in the <br />South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 28th. , day of October and on the 29th. , day <br />of October I9271 according to law. <br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, file primary assessment roll for <br />the pavement of the alley between lots IO and II in Mayers Addition under Improvement <br />Resolution No.I969. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that <br />on the 2nd., day of November, 1927, this Board will meet in their office at 7-I5 P.M. <br />
