Wray, submitted partial estimate :ors.. <br />copy of contract between the City and the Albert Construction Co., for thepavement of <br />Howard Street from South Bend Avenue to east line of Morey's Subdivision under Improv <br />ment Resolution No.I8890 Board signed and approved same in the amount of I2,948.80. <br />The Board approved the constraetors bond of $I,000000 in favor <br />of William Henry House signed by The Fidelity and Casualty Co., of New York. <br />The.Board approved a driveway at 1162 East r'ox Street. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had, on the assessment roll <br />for the pavement of Division street from east line of Chicago street to east line of <br />Belleville Third Unit under Improvement Resolution No.I803. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no written remonstrance was <br />filed and the Board being fully advised in the premises, finds that the several lots <br />and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been benefited in <br />the amount named on said assessment roll. The Board, therefore, takes final action <br />on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and <br />approved and the proceedings closed. The Board now o-rders said assessment roll <br />delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll <br />for thepavement of Lincoln xyay West from the north line of LaSalle Avenue to the <br />�I west line of Cottage Grove Avenue under Improvement.Resolution No.I8I3. <br />In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared but <br />no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board, being full advised in the premises <br />finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts <br />shown on modified assessment roll. The Board, therefore, takes final action on <br />said modified roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved <br />as.modified. The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department <br />of Finance. <br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed the following primary <br />assessment rolls: <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Bertrand Street from Bendix <br />Drive to Nancy Street under Improvement Resolution No.I902. <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of the Ist., alley west of <br />Johnson Street from Prast Street to Lincoln VI -ay west under Improvement Resolution <br />No.I877. <br />In both of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby <br />orders that on the 25th., day of October, I927, this Board will meet at its office <br />in the City Hall at I0:00 A. M. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons <br />whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the <br />several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvements have heen <br />or will be benefited in the amounts shorn on said rolls or in a greater or less <br />amount. <br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and <br />estimates and the Board adopted the following improvement resolutions: <br />Improvement Resolution No.I970 for the construction of grade and <br />walk on the north side of Calvert Street from Kline 6treet to Caroline Street. <br />Improvement Resolution No.I97I for the pavement of Chapin Street <br />from Indiana Avenue to Calvert Street. <br />Improvement Resolution No.I972 for the sewer on Lawton Street <br />between Olive Street and Bendix Drive. <br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board <br />hereby orders that on the 9th., day of November, 1927, this Board will meet in their <br />office at 7-I5 P. IT., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose <br />property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the <br />several lots and parcels of land 111ble to be assessed for said improvements will be <br />benefited in propertion to the estimated cost of said improvements as reported by <br />the City Engineer. Board further orders that notices of said improvement hearings <br />shall be published on the 2Ist. , day of October and on the 28th. , day of October, <br />1927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune, and that notices be mailed to proper <br />owners according to law. <br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed plansij specifications and <br />estimates and the Board adopted a resolution for the pavement of the alley between lots IO <br />10 and II Mayer Add., from the south line of Lincoln Highway to north line of alley <br />South under Improvement Resolution No.I969. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, property owners <br />waived all objections on and in defense to any defect in said proceedings and to any <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
