Romig present. <br />Due to the great numbers of people present, the Board adjourned'; <br />I! to the Council Chambers, where the meeting was held. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the Assessment j <br />Roll for the Widening of .Kline Street from Ewing Avenue to the St. Joseph River under <br />Condemnation Resolution No.1856. <br />In the above named Assessment roll remonstrators appeared <br />and written remonstrances were filed as follows: <br />Daniel J. Smith and ma K. Smith, Ernst McErlain and Irving Jackson, Chicago, youth <br />Er <br />Bend and Northern Indiana Railway Co., Lewis P�. Randall and Jessie S. Randall," Glen <br />J. Grossnickle and Edna Grosnickl.e, Iva Naber, Clifford A. Pletcher and Florende Hibbish <br />Pletcher, all represented by Attorney Eli F. Peak. <br />After hearing all persons interested in said assessment roll, <br />the Board decides to continue hearing on same until October 26th. , 1927, at 7-I5, at <br />which time final action will be taken on said assessment roll. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following <br />Improvement Resolutions: <br />Improvement Resolution No.I942 for the pavement on Webster <br />Street from Indiana Avenue to Prairie Avenue. <br />Improvement Resolution No.I94I for the pavement on Scott Street) <br />from Indiana Avenue to Chicago, South Bend and Southern Railway Co. <br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions, no remon- <br />strators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board being duly <br />advised in the premises, finds that the ibenefits to the several lots and parcels of <br />land, liable to be assessed for said improvements, will be equal to the estimated cost-1 <br />of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, takes final action <br />on said improvement resolutions, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed <br />and approved without modification. <br />This being the date set, hearing eras had on Improvement Resole <br />tion No.1940 for the pavement of 35th. , Street from Mishawaka Avenue to Northside <br />Boulevard. <br />In the above named improvement Resolution, remonstrators <br />appeared and a written remonstrance was filed. After hearing all persons interested <br />in said improvement and being fully advised in the premises, the Board finds that the <br />benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said impro- <br />vement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. <br />Therefore, the Board decides to over rule said remonstrance, and declares improvement <br />Resolution No.I940 in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification, <br />The Board now orders written remonstrance delivered to the City Engineer for final cheek. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following <br />.Assessment rolls: <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Carroll Street from <br />Dayton Street to Milton Street under Improvement Resolution No.I888. <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Altgeld Street from the <br />Wiest line of High Street to Miami Street under Improvement Resolution No.1843. <br />0 <br />In both of the above named assessment rollq, no remonstrances <br />were filed and no remonstrators appeared, and .the Board being.fully advised in the <br />premises, fines that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said <br />Improvements have been benefited in the amounts shown on said rolls, The Board, there-! <br />fore takes final action on said assessment rolls, declaring same in all things ratified <br />confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment <br />rolls delivered to the Department of Finance. 1 • <br />
