<br />I Board met .in4 regular session at 7-I5 P.� D1. All members present.
<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the'following improvement
<br />resolutions:
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I938 for the construction of curb and walk
<br />where necessary on VbATle Street from 1,11alnut Street to Chapin Street.
<br />Improvement.Resolution No.I936 for the construction of curb and walk
<br />where necessary on High Street Between Dubail Avenue and Bowman Street.
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I939 for the construction of a local sewer on
<br />Wilber Street.ftom Lincoln Way West to Elwood Avenue.
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators
<br />appeared and no'written remonstrance was.filed, and the Board, being duly advised in
<br />the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land., liable
<br />to be assessed for said improvements, will be equal to the estimated cost of same as
<br />reported by the City Engineer and that the improvements are necessary. The Board,
<br />therefore, takes final action on all of the above improvement resolutions, declaring
<br />same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved, without modification.
<br />The Board now orders that on the 4th., day of October, 1927, this Board
<br />will receive, open and read sealed proposals up to 10:00 A. M., for the construction
<br />Ii of the above named improvements. Board futther orders that notices of said proposals
<br />shall be published on the 23rd., day of September and on the 30th., day of September,
<br />1927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune.
<br />This Beingthe date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No.
<br />1937 for the pavement of Jackson Street from Washington Avenue to Linden Avenue.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, tbmohstritors appeared and a
<br />-written remonstrance was filed. After careful consideration, the Board hereby decides
<br />to rescind all former action taken on said improvement resolution No.I937, and declares
<br />,to
<br />null and void and the proceedings closed.
<br />The Board approved the following Guarantee Bonds:
<br />Guarantee Bond of John F. Hipskind for the sewer on Sherman Avenue from
<br />Kin Street to the River under Improvement ResolutioiA No.177I. Amount of bond being
<br />664.68 signed by Inland Bonding Co.

<br />Guarantee Bond of John F. Hipskind for the sewer on Miner Street from
<br />west line of North Sunnyside Addition to Harriett Street under Improvement Resolution
<br />No.I926. Amount of bond being 205.68 signed by Inland Bonding Co.
<br />Guarantee Bond of The Northern Indiana Construction Co., for the sewer.
<br />on Rideg Road, Garland Road and Trelane Road in Ridgedale Fourth Addition under Improve
<br />went Resolution No.I87I. Amount of bond being 391.05 signed by the New York indemnity
<br />-

<br />The Board signed the following contracts:
<br />Contract with A. E. Anderson for the construction of grade, curb and walk
<br />i� on College Street from Hamilton to Bergan Street under Improvement Resolution No.I9I7.

<br />!I Amount of contract is 3,49I.00. Board also approved the construction bond of same for
<br />i 50j of the amount of the contract signed by Eagle Indemnity Co., of New York, N. Y.
<br />i Contract with John F. Hipskind for the construction of a sewer on 2lst.,
<br />Street from Jefferson Blvd., to Center line of McKinley Avenue under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.1920. Amount of contract is 5,62.6.60. Board also approved the construct-
<br />ion bond of same for 50% of the contract price signed by Inland Bonding Co.'
<br />This being the date, hearings were had on the following assessment rolls:
<br />Assessment roll for -the pavement on Corby Street from Eddy Street to the
<br />East line of Park Place Addition under Improvement Resolution No.1832.
<br />Assessment roll for the sewer on Miner Street from west line of North
<br />Sunnyside Addition to Harriett under Improvement Resolution No.I926. v

<br />Assessment. roll for the sewers in Rodge Road, Garland Road and Trelane
<br />Road in Ridgedale Fourth Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I87I
<br />i
<br />Assessment roll for local sewer on Ridegdale and Avondale Road in Ridge -
<br />dale Fourth Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I848.
<br />In all of the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared
<br />and no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board being fully advised in the !.
<br />premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said
<br />improvements have been benefited in the amounts named on said rolls. The Board, there-
<br />fore, takes final action on said assessment.rolls and declares said assessment rolls,
<br />filed September I3th., and I4th., 1927, in all things ratified confirmed and approved.
<br />The Board now orders said assessment rolls delivered to the Department of Finance.;'
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, submitted the tabulation of bids for the
