<br />Reesh at his bid of 6,I30.00.
<br />Upon the recommendation of City Engineer, Mr. H. " G. ,Wray, the Board,
<br />hereby awards ;the contract for the construction, of a sewer on. 21st. , Street from
<br />Jefferson Blvd., to the center line of Colfax- ,�A''enue under Improvement Resolution
<br />No.I920, to John F. Hipskind at his'bid of 5,626.60.
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed plans and the Board adopted -the
<br />following Vacation Resolutions:
<br />Vacation Resolution No.I953 for the Vacation of the Ist., alley
<br />South of Beyer Avenue from East line of Eddy Street to the Grand Trunk Western Railr
<br />right of way; the alley between lots 46 and 47 in Replat of Beyers 2nd., Addition f
<br />South line of. Beyer Avenue, to North line of alley south of Beyer Avenue; The Alley
<br />between lot 50 in Replat of, Beyers 2nd. , Addition and Grand Trunk Western Railroad
<br />right of way from south line of the alley south of Beyer Avenue to the North line of
<br />North 'Side Boulevard.
<br />Vacation Resolution No.I952 for the vacation of the first alley,
<br />second and third alleys west of College Street from the North line of Rupel Street
<br />to the South line of the Ist., alley North of Rupel Street. ✓
<br />Vacation Resolution No.I95I for the Vacation of a portion of the Tst.i,
<br />alley west of Kendall Street from Calvert Street to the Ist., alley north of Calvert
<br />Street. ,
<br />In all of the above named Vacation Resolutions, the Board hereby orders
<br />that on the I9th.9 day of October, I927, this Board wi11 meet in their office at 7-I5
<br />P. MI., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property may be affected
<br />by said Vacations. Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published
<br />in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the _29th. , day of September and on the 6tiij,
<br />day of October, 1927.

<br />mates and the Board adopted the following improvement Resolutions:
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I950 for the pavement of Vine Street from
<br />27th. Street to 3Oth., Street. See files for copy of resolution.
<br />Improvement Resolution ,No.I949 for the pavement .of 23rd. , Street
<br />from Mishawaka Avenue to Kerslake Court. See files for copy of resolution.
<br />Improvement resolution No.I948 for the pavement of the alley between
<br />lots I29 and I30 in Cushing and Lindsay Addition from Portage Avee to the alley
<br />west of Portage Avenue. See files for copy of resolution.
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby,
<br />orders that on the I9th., day of October, I927, at 7115 P. M., this Board will meet
<br />in their office in the City gall to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons
<br />whose property may be affected by said improvements and will decide whether the
<br />benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to
<br />the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. Board further orders
<br />that notices of said hearings shall be published on the 29th., day of September and
<br />on the 6th., day of October, 1927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune and that
<br />notices be sent to property owners according to law.
<br />The Board approved the erection of a brick walk under the side vralk
<br />on Colfax Avenue in the Christman Th.eathrrBldg. , to be used by the Electric Co., for
<br />a transformer. j
<br />City Engineer, Yr. H. G. Wray, filed the primary assessment roll
<br />for the pavement on Altgeld Street from west line of High Street to Miami Street under
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I843. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby
<br />orders that on the 28th., day of September, I927,. this Board will meet in their
<br />office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. Y., to hear and receive remonstrances from all
<br />persons whose property .has .been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether
<br />the several lots and parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts
<br />named on said roll or in a greater or less amount. Board further orders that noticesll
<br />of said hearing shall be published on the 2.3rd. day of September and on the 24th. ,
<br />day of September, 1927, in the South Bend N ws dimes and Tribune.
<br />Claims amounting to 7,785.35 signed .and approved by the Board.
<br />The Board of appraisors filed their re ort for the assessed distric
<br />in, connection with the widening of McKinley Avenue under Eondemnation Resolution No..
<br />I903, and the Board approved said district as reported.
