<br />Board met in regular session at 7*i5 P. M. All members present.
<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvement
<br />resolutions:
<br />j Improvement resolution No. I929 for the pavement of the first alley north
<br />of Sunnymede Avenue from alley east of Sunnyside to east line of Lot 227 Sunnymede
<br />Addition.

<br />improvement resolution No. I9281,nfor the pavement of the alley betwea3.
<br />Sunnyside and Harriett Street from first alley south of Wayne Street South, to Wayne
<br />Street north.
<br />Improvement resolution No.I932 for the local sewer on Orange Street between
<br />Olive Street and Meade Street.
<br />i In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appear-
<br />ed and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the
<br />j premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be
<br />assessed for said improvements, will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported
<br />by the City Engineer and that the improvements are necessary. The Board, therefore,
<br />takes final action on said improvement resolutions, and declares same in all things
<br />ratified, confirmed and approved.
<br />The Board now orders, in the matter of improvement resolutions No.I929,
<br />1928 and 1932, that on the 20th., day of September, 1927 this Board will meet and will
<br />receive, open and consider sealed proposals up to I0:00 �. M., for the construction of
<br />said improvements. Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be publish
<br />ed on the 9th., day of September and on the I6th., day of September, 1927, in the
<br />South Bend 7ews Times and Tribune.
<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assessment
<br />rolls:
<br />kssessment roll for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Wellington
<br />Stf'eet from Division Street to Jefferson Boulevard under Improvement Resolution No.I827.
<br />Assessments roll ,::for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Lake Street
<br />from Division Street to Jefferson Blve., under Improvement Resolution No.I825.
<br />Assessment roll for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Kentucky
<br />Street from Jefferson Boulevard to Washington Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.1
<br />Assessment roll for the construction of grade, curb and walk on Kentucky .
<br />Street from Division Street to Jefferson Boulevard under Improvement Resolution No.I823.
<br />Assessment roil for the construction of grade,curb and walk on 2lst., St.,
<br />from South line of McKinley Avenue to North line of Christman Place Addition; Also on
<br />west 2 of 21st.1 Street from north line of Christman Place Addition to center line of
<br />Washing on Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I804.
<br />I# all of the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared and
<br />j' no written remonstranee was filed, and the Board being fully advised in the premises,
<br />i finds that the several lots and parcels of land nhich have been assessed for said
<br />improvements have been benefited in the amounts shown on said rolls. The Boar
<br />takes final action on said assessment rolls, filed August 24th., 1927, and declare
<br />same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. the
<br />Board now orders that said assessment rolls be delivered to the Department of Finance.
<br />!I City Engineer, y%!r. H. G. dray, submitted the following partial estimates:
<br />Partial estimate No. 2 for the roadway widening, pavement and water connect
<br />ion improvement on Lincoln 'today °lest from ''dilber Street to West line of Olive Street, in
<br />accordance with the terms of the contract tretween the City and '+-lilli ston Construction
<br />Co., under Improvement Resolution No.I8I5. Board signed same in the amount of

<br />Partial estimate No.I for the set er improvement in Miner Street from Vilest
<br />linr og North Sunnyside Addition to Harriett Street'in accordance with the terms of the
<br />contract between the City and John F. Hipskind,T^ contractor under improvement resol-.tion
<br />I-o.I927. Board signed and approved same in the amount of I,339.45.
<br />The Board approved the driveway at I033 Hudson Street.
<br />City Engineer, IV!r. H. G.'rdray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and
<br />the Board adopted a resolution for the construction of grade, curb and walk on the
<br />south 2 of Washington Avenue from 20th., Street to Greenlawn; Also, on I9th., Street
<br />from.Jefferson Avenue to Washington Avenue; Also, on Nilson Street from 20th., Street
<br />to Greenlawn Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I93I.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, property owners signed a waiver
<br />waiving all objections on arid- in defense to any defect* in.said proceedings and to any
<br />violation in procedure for the construction of Street improvements according to law.
<br />Whereupon, the Board received, opened and read proposals for the construction of said
<br />improvement. Bids as follows:
