Wray, submitted partial estimate No.I for the <br />construction of pavement between the cabs and the present concrete pavement on Ewing <br />Avenue from Iliami Street to Leer Street/in accordance with the terms of the contract <br />between the City and H. N. Barnes, contractor under Improvement resolution No.I833. <br />Board signed and approved same in the amount of 7,374.52 <br />Gity Engineer, Mr H. G. Wray, submitted partial estimate No.2 for the <br />material in place in trench and'on materials not in place but along the line of sewer, <br />known as the North-west Trunk/Sewer Svstem, in accordance with the terms of the contract <br />between the City and J. J. Dunn.egan Construction Co., contractors, under improvement <br />resolution No.I774. Board approved and signed same in the amount of 100,824.64, <br />City Engineer, I11r. H. G. Iffray, filed primary assessment roll for the <br />construction of local sewers on Gladstone and Sheridan Avenues and alley south of <br />Division Street under Improvement Resolution No.I785. <br />In'the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on <br />the 6th., day of September, 1927, this Board will meet in the office at the ity Hall <br />at I0-00 A. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has <br />been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots -and parcels <br />of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been or will be benefited in the <br />amounts shown on said roll or in greater or less amount. <br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimates <br />and the Board adopted the following named improvement resolutions: <br />Improvement resolution No.I938 for the ganstruction of walk and curb <br />where necessary, on Sample Street from Walnut Street to Chapin"Street, <br />Improvement Resolution No.I936 for the construction of walk and curb, <br />where necessary, on High Street between Dubail and Bowman Street. <br />Improvement Resolution No.I937 for the pavement on Jackson Street <br />from Washington Street to Linden Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.1937. <br />Improvement Resolution No.I939 for the construction of a local sewer <br />on Wilber Street from Lincoln Way West to Elwood Avenue. <br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby <br />orders that on the 2lst., day of September, I927, this Board will meet at 7-15 P. M., <br />to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be <br />assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the benefits to the property <br />liable to be assessed for said improvements will be eual to the estimated cost of <br />same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders that notices of said <br />hearings shall be published on the 2nd. , day of 1Sg tenber and on the 9th. , day of <br />September, 1927, in the South Bend News Times and ribune.. Board further orders that <br />notices of said hearings shall be mailed to property owners according to law. <br />Upon the recommendation of Wm. F. Qualls, Supt., the Board approved <br />the construction of additional lights in the traffic signals at Michigan and Colfax, <br />Michigan and Washington and Michigan and Jefferson Streets, in accordance with the <br />new traffic ordinance prohibiting left hand turns at these points.
