<br />Board met in regular session at 9 A. M. All members present.
<br />Minutes of meeting held August I6th., 1927, read and approved.
<br />The Board approved the contractors bond of I,000.00 in favor of H:. G. Christ-
<br />man Co., signed by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co
<br />The Board approved the continuing contractors bond of 2,000.00 in favor of
<br />Louis Stoll, signed by the Metropolitan Casualty Insurance Co., of New York.
<br />The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of the Albert Construction Co.,
<br />for the pavement on Tecumseh Avenue under Improvement Resolution NoI84I. Bond in the
<br />amount of 810.64 signed by the Inland Bonding Co.
<br />The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of the Albert Construction Co., for
<br />the pavemamt on `akewa Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.I842. Bond -in the amount
<br />of II9.87 signed by the Inland Bonding Co.
<br />j This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll
<br />for the Condemnation (Easement) of the Northwest Trunk Sewer under Condemnation Resolu-
<br />tion No.1769. Attorney John Yeagley, attorney for the New York Central Railroad
<br />requested that the hearing be continued whereupon the Board hereby decides to continue
<br />hearing on said assessment roll until September 6th., 1927, at I0:00 A. M.
<br />The Board signed the contract with the Albert Construction Co., for the !
<br />construction of Sheet asphalt pavement on Kenwood Avenue from Olive to Bendix Drive
<br />i under Improvement Resolution No.I898. Board also approved the construction bond for
<br />same in the amount of $8,656.10 signed by the Inland Bonding Co., which amount is 50%
<br />of the contract price of said improvement.
<br />The Board signed the contract with the Albert Construction Co., for the
<br />i construction of sheet asphalt pavement on Main Street from Wayne Street to Division St.,
<br />j under Improvement Resolution No,1867. Board also approved the construction bond for
<br />same tnc_the amount of 3,348.28 signed by the Inland Bonding Co., which is 50% of the
<br />j contract price of said improvement.
<br />The Board signed the contract with the Williston Construction Co., for the
<br />construction of sheet asphalt pavement on Elmer Street from Frederickson Street to
<br />Lincoln Way Viest under Improvement Resolution No.I882. Board also approved the construe¢
<br />i Lion bond for same in the amount of 4,958.80 signed by the Inland Bonding Co.`, which
<br />is 50% of the contract price of said improvement.
<br />Cit::- Engineer, Mr. H.G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and
<br />the Board adopted the following improvement resolutions:
<br />Improvement resolution No.I933 for the construction of local sewer, on
<br />Dunham Street from Kaley Street to a point IO feet East of the West line of Lot 964
<br />j� Summit Place.
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I934 for the construction of pavement on Otsego
<br />Ij Street from Pokagon Street to Angella Avenue.
<br />Improvement Resolution No.I935 for the construction of grade and walk on
<br />Olive Street from Bergan Street to Wilson Street.
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders

<br />that on the I4th., day of September, 1927, this Board will meet in their office in the
<br />City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receiv remonstrances from all persons whose
<br />property is liable to be assessed for said improvements. The Board further orders
<br />that notices of said hearings shall be published in the South Bend News Times and
<br />Tribune on the 26th. , day of August and on the 2nd. , day of September, 1927, and that
<br />notices be mailed to property swnerdiagebrding to law.
<br />No petitions having been filed for a change of type of pavement other than

<br />that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Laing Avenue from Michigan
<br />Street to the West line of Franklin Street under Improvement Resolution No.I899, the
<br />Board this 23rd., day of August I927, hereby awards the contract for said improvement
<br />to the Williston Construction Co., at their low bid of $20,330.60.
<br />No petitions having been filed for the change of type of type of pavement
<br />other than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Carroll Street
<br />from Dayton Street to Milton Street under Improvement Resolution No.I888, the Board
<br />this 23rd., day of August, I927, hereby awards the contract for said improvement to

<br />the Rieth Riley Construction Co., at their low bid of 2,797.68.
<br />No petitions having been filed for a change of the type of pavement other
<br />than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Harriett S#reet from
<br />Mishawaka Avenue to Hildreth Street under Improvement Resolution No.I883,--the Board
<br />this 23rd., day of August, 1927, hereby awards the contract for said improvement to
<br />Meth Riley Construction Co., at their low bid of 15,336.60.

<br />than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Washington Street
<br />from West line of Meade Street to the east line of Kaley Street under Improvement
<br />Resolution No4I892, the Board, this 23rd., day of August, I927, hereby awards the
<br />contract for said improvement to the Albert Construction Co;, at their low bid of
