TUESDAY, AUG'MT 169 1927 (continued) <br />Assessment roll for grade, earb.and walk on Johnson Street from Hamilton Stre <br />to Pershing Street, under Improvement Resolution lTo. 1846. Amount due the contractor <br />5,&50.60. <br />In all of the above -named assessment rolls, the Board lereby 9rders that on th <br />31st day of August, 1927,.'this Board will meet In their office in the City Hall at 7:15 <br />P. M..to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assess <br />for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land have <br />been or will be benefited innthe amounts shown on said rolls. Board further orders <br />that notices of said hearings shall be published ft the South Bend Tribune and News <br />Times on the 26th and 27th days of August, 1927. <br />Board signed the contact with Harry N. Barnes for the construction of eon- <br />Crete pavement on Miner Street from Eddy Street to East line of Madison Park Add., and <br />Improvement Resolution No. 1865. Board also approved construction bon4 for same in the <br />amount of $13,422.05 signed by .the United Mates Pidelity & 0maranty empany. <br />Board signed contract with Hoban & Roach for the construction of concrete <br />pavement on Turnock.Street from South Bend Avenue to Corby Street under Improvement <br />Resolution No. 1862. Board signed bond for same in the amount of 6 3,600.00 signed by <br />the Southern Surety Company, <br />City Engineer, Mr..H. G. Wray, filed plans and specifications and Board <br />adopted a resolution for the construction of a local sewer on Orange Street betw een <br />Olive Street and Meade Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 1932. <br />In the above improvement resolution , the Board hereby orders that on the <br />7th day.of September, 1927, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at <br />7:15 P.M. to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable <br />to be assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the several <br />lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to <br />the estimated cost of same as reported by the lity Engineer. The Board further orders <br />that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 18th day of August and on the <br />25th day of August, 1927, in the South Bend Tribune and News Times. <br />Board approved the plan for a driveway on Dut Lot 91 of the 2nd Addition of <br />Out Lots by the State Board of Indiana. <br />Board approved petition of.Indiana & Michigan Electric Company to place <br />poles on Prairie Avenue between Leon Court and Nubail Avenue. <br />Board approved the Plat of Lindberg Park Addition to the City of South <br />Bend, with the following dedication: <br />"The attached plat known as Lindberg Park Assition to the City of South <br />Bend is composed of eighteen (18) lots numbered from one to wighteen inclusive and is <br />bounded by a line running as follows: <br />Beginning at a poi bt in the North line of iiekman Street, one hundred <br />twenty-seven (1271) feet west of the west line of Miami.Street; thence North seventeen <br />.feet (171); thence west fourteen feet (141); thence north one hundred one feet (101=); <br />thence west four hundred eighty-four feet (4841); thence south four hundred twenty8eight, <br />feet (4281) to the north line of Oakside Street; thence east one hundred wighty feet <br />(1801) to the west line of dale Avenie; thence north three hundred ten feet (3101) to t <br />the north line of Eckman Street.1 thence East three hundred twenty-eight feet (3281) to <br />the place of beginning. <br />All streets and alleys shown on the plat, not heretofore dedicated or <br />6therwise opened for public .use are hereby dedicated to the public for public use. <br />WITNESS MY HAND AND SEAL this seventh day of July, 1927. <br />Martha A.
