39 Wednesday, June,I5th., 1927. • .• In both of the above named Vacation resolutions the Board hereby orders that on the X6th., day of July, I927, the Board will meet at it's office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. J,%, to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be affected by said Vacation Resolutions. Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published in the South Bend Nevus Times and Tribune on the Ist. , day of July and on the 8th. , day of July I927. City Engineer, Mr. H. G. 1,01ray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and the Board adopted the following Improvement Resolutions& / Improvement resolution No.I873 for the pavement of the Ist. , alley South of Napier Street from Kalnut Street to Laurel Street. Improvement Resolution No. I874 for the pavement of the Ist._ alley South of Napier Street from Chestnut Street to Lalnut Street. Improvement Resolution No. I875 for the pavement of the Ist., alley west of Laurel Street from -Division Street to Napier Street. Improvement Resolution No.2876 for the pavement of the Ist. , alley Blest of McPherson Street from Division Street to Napier Street. Improvement resolution No.I878 for a local sewer on Maln Street from 2nd., alley.North of Farneman Street to alley South of Dean Street. I In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby orders that on the MiT., day of July, I927, this Board, at it's office in the City Hall will meet at 7-I5 P. Iii., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose whose property is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decide whether ;the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the Ist. , day of July and on the 8th. , day of July, I927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. the Board signed the contract with. T. Tranberg for the constructio of grade and curb on Garland NSad from Ridgedale Road to East line of Lots 172 and I73 Also Trelane Road from Ridgedale�Road to south end of said Trelan.Road under Improvement Resolution 1.3o.I869, in the amount__of '99,903.70. Board also approved the construction bond for said contract signed by N� ew York Indemnity Ctmpany. The Board signed the contract with b'dward Di Julio for the constructio: of a sewer on %rcKinley Avenue from west line of Lot 58 Jefferson Park to Greenlaval Avenu, under Improvement Resolution No.I835, in the amount of p`2, 764.08. Board also approved the construction bond for said contract signed by the Inland Bonding Co. This being the date set, hearing was had on Comdemnation Resolution No.I856 for the widening of Kline Street from the St. Joseph River to Ewing Avenue to a width of I00 feet. In the above matter, remonstr::_tors .apprared and a written remonstranc was filed. Mr. Orie Parker, a property owner on Kline Street was present advocating the widening of said dine Street to 80 feet instead of I00 feet. A petttion vaas filed asking that the resolution be modified to an 80 feet street. After hearing all persons interested in said condemnation resolution, the Board decides to take final action o3d said condemnation resolution No.I856, anal comfirms said condemnation resolution with the modification of making the street 80 feet in width instead of 100 feet as originally adopted. ilith this modification, the Board hereby declares said in all things ratified, confirmed and approved as modified. The Board now orders that a list or roll shall be prepared.,of all holders of property and of interests therein sought to the taken.*or to be injuriously affected, which list shall also describe the -property beneficially affected byy said condemnation. The Board, hereby, appointz Edward Pfeiffer, David Gibson and Ralph Osbov: as apppraisors for the district in connection with this assessment roll.
