062 <br />Tuesday, June I4th., 1927. <br />Board met in regular session at 9 A. V,. All members present. <br />The Board approved the bond of T Is000.00 for 71. S. Lodyga <br />signed by the Fidelity and Casualty Co., of New York. <br />The Board :approved the excavation bond of . Emery Fredericks <br />for the Fredericks Plumbing Co., signed by the American turbk Co. of New York. <br />The Board approved the bond for contractor, E. T. Tranberg in <br />the amount of-I,000.00 signed by Eiiployers Liability Co. <br />The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Rocco Simeri for <br />the construction of the pipe sewer on Donmoyer Street from Mlichigan Street to Fellows <br />Street under Improvement Resolution No,1756. This bond of $461.IS is I0% of the con- <br />tract price for said improvement. <br />The Board approved the driveway at 626.Twenty-third Street. <br />City Engineer, I.ir. H. G. gray, submitted the following partial: <br />estimates: <br />Partial estimate No.I for the pipe sewer improvement on Clyde <br />Street from i©x Street to alley north of Bowman Street., Also in Bowman Street from <br />Clyde Street to Ernsperge.r Street, in accordance withthe terms of the contract between <br />the City and L. H. Webster, Contractor., ender Improvement Resolution No.I760. Board <br />signed and approved same in the amount of 3,599.86. <br />Partial estimate No.I for the pipe sewer on Calvert Street <br />from ''line Street to Sampson Street, in accordancd with the terms of the contract <br />between the City and L. H. Webster, Contractor, under Improvement Resolution 1-1o.I775. <br />Board signed and approved same in the amount of $1, 703.38. <br />Partial estimate No.I or copy of contract fer the improvement", <br />on Division Street from East line of Belleville third Unit to oddest line of Belleville <br />third Unit, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and the <br />Albert Construction Co., under Improvement Resolution No.I839. Board signed and approved <br />same in the amount of $33,74I.80. <br />The Board signed the contract with J. A. Barnes for the <br />construction of grade, curb and walk on Twenty-first Street from South line of McKinley', to North line of Christman Place Add., ALSO on West 2 pf Twenty-first Street from <br />north line of Christman Place Add., to center line of 7Aa <br />" shington Avenue under Improve- j <br />ment Resolution No.I804. Board approved the construction bond for said contractor <br />in the amount of 3,I62.80 signed by Independence Indemnity Co. <br />In the matter of the remonstrance against the improvement <br />of the first alley north of 14•rion Street from I-ain Street to Michigan Street under <br />Improvement Resolution No.I83I, City. Engineer, M___. H. G. 71ray, filed the following <br />report: <br />"Referring to the remonstrance against the improvement <br />of the first alley north of Mlarion Street from Pain to Michigan Street under Improve- <br />ment Resolution No.I83I, there are.four resident property holders.fronting on this <br />proposed improvement, two of whom have signed the remonstrance. This does not consti- <br />tute a majortty and therefore I would recommend that this improvement be advertised <br />dor bidsin according with statutes. <br />Yours very truly <br />H. G. 'dray, City Engineer." <br />I In the matter of the remonstrance against the improvement <br />of the first alley west of Michigan Street from Marion Street to Navarre Street under <br />Improvement Resolution No.I830, Uity Engineer, 17r. H. G. ;`irey filed the following <br />report: <br />"Referring to the resolution No.I830 for the improvement of <br />the first alley west of Michigan Street from Ka.rion Street to Navarre Street, there <br />is a majority against this improvement, therefore, I would recommend that the proceed <br />be stopped and that no further action be taken by the Board of Works in this matter. <br />Yours very truly, <br />H. G. ':dray, City Engineer." <br />The Board approved the recommendation of Xr. Wray_ in this <br />matter of the Improvement Resolution No.I830, and therefore declares said resolution <br />rescinded and all former proceedings, cull and voidq and the proceedings closed. <br />In the matter of the remonstranceagainst the improvement on <br />Tecumseh Street from Wakewa to Parkovash, Mr. H.
