<br />Bids having been received fnr the construction of pavement on
<br />LaSalle venue under Improvement Resolution No.I8I2, the Board this Ist., day of June
<br />1927, hereby makes a preliminary order for sheet asphalt as the type of pavement with
<br />which said street shall be improved and sets the I4th., day of June, I927, as the time ,
<br />when said Board will either pass on petitions for a change of the type of pavement
<br />other than that specified in the preliminary order, award the contract for said impro-
<br />vement or reject all bids. This preliminary order is for sheet asphalt with Metrololit4n
<br />brick in car tracks and for street closed to traffic during construction.

<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll
<br />for the condemnation of street and alleys in Jefferson Heights Addition under Comdemna
<br />tion Resolution No.177O.
<br />In the above matter, remonstrators appeared but no written remon-
<br />strance was filed, and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds.that the �
<br />several lots and parcels of land irhich have been assessed on the primary assessment
<br />roll have been benefited in the amoun::s shoirn on said roll. The Board, therefore,
<br />takes final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified,
<br />confirmed and approved without modification, and the proceedings closed. The Board j
<br />now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance.
<br />if City Engineer, "Tr. H. G. 'dray, filed plans and the Board adopted
<br />a resolution for the Vacation of of the Alley bouth of Division Street from the East
<br />line of Kenmore Street to the lififest line of the Ist., alley east of Kenmore under
<br />Vacation Resolution No.I854.
<br />In the above named resolutions, the Board, hereby orders that
<br />on the 22nd. , day of June, I927, this Board will meet at 7-I5 P. P . , in their office
<br />in the City Hal_1 to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
<br />is liable to be affected by said vacation. Board further orders that notices of said it
<br />hearing shall be published on the 3rd. , day of June and on the IOth. , day of June,
<br />1927, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune. •
<br />The Board approved the drive way for filling station at the
<br />corner of Sample Street and Valnut Street owned by the T. E. Cass Oil Co.
<br />The Board approved the plat of Dixie Gardens Jewell's Second
<br />Addition with the following Dedication:
<br />i' "The annexed plat represents Dixie Gardens, Jewell's Second Addi-
<br />tion, and is located in the North East Quarter of Section No. Thirty-five and the NorthT
<br />west quarter of Section No. Thirty-six, all in Township No. Thirty-seven North, Range
<br />i Twos .East.
<br />The lots in said Plat are numbered from Fourteen to Forty -Two
<br />inclusive, and are of the dimensions as shown in feet and fractions thereof on said
<br />Plat.
<br />for public use. The streets shovrn in said plat are hereby dedicated to the public
