<br />The Board signed the contract between the City and S. U. Ackerman
<br />for the construction of sewer on Altgeld Street under Improvement Resolution No,I788.
<br />The Board also approved the construction bond for said contract in the amount of
<br />$8,492,00 which is 100% of the contract price signed by the Commercial Casualty Insurance
<br />Co.
<br />The Board signed the contract between the City and L. H. Webster,
<br />for the construction of a sewer on Victoria Street under Improvement Resolution No,I78,
<br />The Board also approved the construction bond for said contract in the amount. of
<br />4,786.21 which is I00% of the contract price signed by the 14assachuetts Bonding Co.
<br />The Board approved the bond for contractor in the amount of
<br />,000.00 in favor of Walter Kalacz.
<br />The Board approved the continuation bond of J. E. Haney for
<br />a I,000.00 contrautbten.bond signed by the =-American Surety Co.
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. Wray, filed tabulations of bids for
<br />the construction of a sewer on Avoh.dale Road and Ridgedale Road under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.I848.

<br />Bids having been received for the construction of a sewer along
<br />Avondale Road and Ridgedale Road from Twyckenham Drive to Ridgedale Road, the Board
<br />this I7th., day of May, 1927, hereby awards the contract for said improvement to
<br />the Tywckenham Land and Investment Co., at their low bid of $5,486.00.
<br />The Board approved a driveway on Lot 203 Oliver's Second Addition
<br />at I52IT45ou.th Arnold Street.
<br />The Board adopted plans and specifications for lighting streets,''
<br />alleys, boulevards and pmblic places in Belleville Addition in the City of South Bend.;
<br />In the above matter the Board hereby orders that on the 21st.,
<br />day of June, 192% this Board at it's office in the City Hall will receive, open,
<br />read and consider sealed proposals for the above mentioned improvement. Board fur"er
<br />orders that notices of said proposals be published in the South Bend News Timers and
<br />Tribune on the 27th., day of May and on the -3rd., day of June, I927, according to
<br />law.
<br />City engineer, Mir. H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications
<br />and estimate and the Board adopted a resolution for the construction of a local sewer
<br />along Kinyon Street from Sherman Avenue to a point 20 feet West of the East line of
<br />Lot 186 North West Addition under Improvement Resolution No.I85I. ,
<br />In the above matter the Board hereby orders that on the 8th.1
<br />day of June, I927,`this Board will meet at it's office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. N., •
<br />to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be assess
<br />ed for said improvement and will decides whether the benefits to such property will be
<br />ecual to the estimated cost of same. Board further orders that notices of said hearing
<br />be published on the 20th., day of May and on the 27th., day of May, 1927, in the Thews
<br />Times and Tribune, according to law.
<br />The Board approved the grade of the alley west of Miari6tta Street
<br />from Sampl- to the Ist., alley north of sample.
<br />City Engineer, Mr. H. G. tray, filed plans and the Boaad adopted
<br />a resolution for the Vacation of the first alley north of Sample Street from Clinton !,
<br />Street to the west of the Ist., alley east of Clinton Street under Vacation Resolutinnj
<br />No.I849.
