All members present. <br />Minutes of ffip Be ngs held April 26th., and April 27th., 1927, read and <br />approved. <br />The Board approved the drive ways at 925 Lawrence Avenue and at 3221 <br />West Division Street. <br />City Engineer submitted the following pattial estimates: <br />Partial Estimate No.I for the grade, curb and talk improvement on the <br />North side of Indiana Avenue between Leer Street and Clyde Streit in accordance with <br />the terms of the contract ' between the City and E. T. Tranberg, contractor, under <br />Improvement Resolution No.I778. Board signed and approved same in the amount of <br />255.4 2. <br />Partial estimate No. I for the grade, curb and walk improvement on <br />the North side of Prast Street from Johnson Street to 2nd., alley west of Johnson <br />Street " in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and Fston <br />Ball, contractor, under improvement Resolution No,1758. Board signed and approved <br />same in the amount of 210.80. <br />Upom toe recommendation of Tam. F. Qualls, the Board approved the <br />installation of the following Street lights <br />000 lumen light at the corner of Sample and Webster Street. <br />4000 lumen light at the corner of ford, Kosemuszko and Railroad Streets <br />and the removal of the I000 lumen light at this place. <br />4000 lumen light at the corner of Huron and Brookfield Streets and <br />the removal of the I000 lumen light at this place. <br />Installation of a metered service for a traffic light at the intersecti aI. <br />of Michigan and Broadway. <br />Total. cost of the above excluding the traffic light still be 9I.00 per <br />year. <br />The Board signed the contract between the City and Carl E. Zimmer for <br />the construction of grade, curb and walk on Twenty-first Street from N. Line of <br />Jefferson Blvd., to center line of Washington Avenue; also East Q Twenty-first <br />Street from center line of lashington Avenue to North line of Christman Place Add; <br />A),sp Colfax Avenue frp3; East line of Twenty-first Street to the West line of Twenty _ <br />second Street under Improvement Resolution No,1805. Board approved the construction <br />bond for 100% of the contract price or $5, 50I.50 signed by the Southern Surety Co. <br />The Board approv d the construction of a glass Marquise at the entrance <br />to the Build±pg ovmed by Dave Boswell at 2II S. Main Street, which .is being construe <br />ed by H. G. Christman Co. <br />Upon the recommendation of Vim. F. Qualls, the Board approved the petition <br />of the Grand Trunk Railroad Co., for the construction of underground ducts in the <br />vicinity of the New Terminal or Union Station, as outlined in their petition of <br />Aril 27th., I927. <br />Upon the recommendation of Vim. F. Qualls, the Board approved the placemej4t <br />of 2 poles by the Indiana Bell Telepho#e Co., on 22nd., Street and II poles on <br />Greenlawn Avenue, North from LaSalle Avenue in Cor_uillard `goods Ist., Addition <br />as outlined in their petition of April 29th., 1921. <br />City Fngineerg 1 r. H. G. Co I59508.70 <br />Bids having been received for the construction of grade, curb, walk and <br />pavement on Dale Avenue and Woodside Street under Improvement Resolution No.I8I7, <br />the Board this 3rd., day of May, I9279 hereby awards the contract for said improve- <br />ment to The Twyckenham band and Investment Co., at their bid of $I5,467.58. <br />City Engineer, b"=r.
