<br />Indiana, and which has taken over all assets of the South Bend ,'later Company, incorpor-
<br />ated under the laws of New Jersey, and located at South Bend, in Saint Joseph County, in
<br />the State of Indiana, convey and quit -claim to the City of South Bend, in Saint Joseph
<br />County, in the State of Indiana, the following described real estate, in Saint Joseph
<br />County, in the State of Indiana, to be used for alley purposes, for use of the General
<br />public.

<br />Beginning at a point one hundred and seventy three and seven -thenths
<br />(173.7) feet west of the east one -eighth (1/8th) section corner in the north boundary
<br />line of Section No. (18) Eighteen Township No. thirty-seven (37) North, Range No. Three (3}
<br />1 3) east, thence running due south, on a line parallel with the east and west lines of
<br />said section, eight hundred and sixty -one and two -tenths •(861.2) feet, thence west on
<br />a line parallel with the north line of said section, seven (7) feet, thence north eight ".
