The County Council are insistent that this be done before any expense is gone to, in the way of preparation for the construction of the new bridge. The alley south of Sample Street from Franklin Street to the alley west of Franklin Street, Also the Alley West of Franklin Street from Sample Street to a point two hundred ninety and five tenths (290.51) feet south of the south line of Sample Street. j The following property may be injuriously or benefically affected by such vacation: Beginning at the southwest corner of Sample Street and Franklin Stree�, thence south alohg the west line of Franklin Street to the north line of Garst Street, thence west along the north line of Garst Street and said line produced west, a dis- tance of two hundred and seventy five (2751) feet, thence north and parallel to the west line of Franklin Street to the south line of Sample Street, thence east along the! south line of Sample Street a distance of two hundred and seventy five �(275t) feet to t the place of beginning. Notice of this resolutionxshall be publis4ed on the 16th. day of October October and on the 23rd. day of October 1925 in the South Bend Daily Tribune and News dimes. Request from Indiana Bell Telephone Company to place 17-35 foot poles in the section boundted by Lincoln =fay West, Prast Blvd. Olive Street and Goodiand Avenue, streets in part of Lincoln Manor Addition. Approved, request granted. The following recommendations of Light Inspector Qualls approved. A 1000 lumen light radial reflector bracket construction to be placed on east end of Colfax Avenue where it joins the alley east of Adams Street. approved. Change 1000 lumen light now at Olive Street and Poland Street and Kaley Street and Poland Street from 1000 lumen lights to 4000 lumen li#hts. Approved. I Financial report of the Building.Department for the month of September 192.5 filed. In re complaint from D. J. Kelly in regard to two cables that cross the alley which connects Laurel and Pine Streets, inspector filed following report. The cables complainbd off in attached communication are the signal cables of the N. Y. C. R. R. which drop from the poles to 6he signal control boxes of the Railroad Company. /As these are on the railroad company's right-of-way and the n alley" referred to is not an alley but a part of the company's right-of-way, so I am informed, I do not believe we would have the right to order them changed.
