Kolupa <br />Notary Public. <br />My cormnission expires, 9/11/44. <br />now therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of South Bend, tha <br />all public streets, alleys and public places be dedicated to the public use in said plat <br />is hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on behalf of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana. 1 0 <br />ELECTRIC DEPARTMIENT: Mr. Qualls was present and reported that a 1000 lumen lamp had <br />been installed on Arnold St., at the alley between Indiana Ave., and Prairie Ave., also two <br />two boulevard type lights 2500 lumen output on the north side of Western Ave., in the <br />first half-block,west of Main St. <br />He also reported that a 1000 lumen lamp had been installed on Wilber St., at the <br />entrance to Langley St. <br />The mayor has referred to this Board, a letter 'from J. B. Emmons, Chairman of the <br />State Legion Convention Committee, whose convention is to be held in South Bend, August <br />16, 17, 18 and 19, 1941, asking permission to use the Council Chambers for committee <br />meetings dpring that period. <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that they be given permission to use <br />the Council Chambers at such hours when the use of same will not interfer with the meet- <br />ings of the Common Council or the City Court. <br />The Board approved the purchase of a Burroughs Bookkeeping Machine, to be used by <br />the Controllerts Office, at a price of $1492.50. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at 12:20 P.
