The Roard received a report from the City Plan Commission approving the acceptance of the following; deed; from David L. Guilfoyle and Catherine E. Guilfoyle, his wife, now of Dade County, State of Florida, and formerly of St. Joseph County, in the State of Ind Tana for the following described Real Eatate in St. Joseph County in the State of Indiana, to -wit: A part of Bank Out Lot Numbered Ninety-four (94) of the Second Plat of Outlots to the Town, now City, of South .Bend, which part is bounded by a line running as follovas, to -wit: v Beginning at a point on the West line of Arnold Street in said City of South Bend • 184 feet South of the intersection of Western Avenue and Arnold Street in said City; thence retest 92 feet; thence North 87 feet; thence North, 450 west, 7 feet; thence West 200.05 feet; thence North 92 feet tot he South line of said Western Avenue; thence East along said south line 12 feet; thence South 75 feet; thence South, 450 East, 7 feet; thence East 188.05 feet; thence North, 220 6' East, 17.2 feet; thence East 12 feet; thence South, 220 61 Nest, 17.2 feet; thence South 87 feet; thence South, 450 East, 7 feet; thence East 75 feet; thence South 12 feet to the place of beginning; -being the proposed Alley as laid out and designated on the roposed Plat o - Guilfoy le's Sub -division of a part of said. Bank Out Lot Numbered 94. • The real estate hereinabove described is hereby conveyed to the City of South Bend, Indiana, for use by the public as a public alley. The Deed was accepted by the Board and the Clerk was ordered to have the same recorded. A petition to pave LaSalle Court from the end of the present pavement across alley to Colfax Avenue by the construction of brick pavement with J.P.A. labor and city materials was received and referred to the Engineering Department for investigation and report. f A claim for damage done to sidewalk, corner curbing and driveway at 1101 N. College Street presented by �Jilbur H. Hoover was referred to the Engineering Department for investigation. CITY CE%,"ETERY DEPT: Lisle F. liIcNabb was present and matters pertaining to his departmen were discussed. I,Ir. 1TcHabb presented his financial report for August, 1939, showing receipts of 0160.00 for perpetual care and 'P132.00 general fund. Continuation Certificates on contractor's bonds of John VonBergen and Charles E. Dahmons were approved. r Continuation Certificate on Excavation bond of Goheen Plumbing & leating Company was approved. T,Ir. Williams, City Civil Engineer, reported that Leo Rieder had contacted him rela- tive to the city using the Old Hoffman Gravel Pit on i, iles Avenue as a Central 1,lixing Plant.
