Fredericks and Delbert MlcNabb. <br />-/A petition signed by approximately 300 property owners adld ng for bus service on <br />South Michigan Street beyond the present terminal of streetcar line to Kern Road was <br />filed. The i;iatter'was referred to the Engineer who shall take it up with the northern <br />Indiana Railway Co. Inc. <br />�A petition to improve Taylor Street from Calvert to Ewing by the Construct -on of <br />pavement with Concrete by W.P.A.,_ the cost of materials not to exceed 11.00 per square <br />yard :;was received. The petition was referred to the Engineer i9or investigation and <br />report. <br />A communication was received from J. Sherburne Elfner, Asst. Supt. of the Dept. of <br />Publics Parks " relative to trimming trees in parkway areas in the vicinity of 30th and <br />Vine Streets. The matter was.taken under consideration. <br />It was reported to the Board that in accordance with statute and under ordinance <br />of the city of South Bend, the Board had accepted the appointment of appraisors by the <br />Honorable Judge of St.Joseph Circuit Court for the purpose of appraising the value of <br />certain personal property obtained by the city in connection with the removal of certain <br />streetcars and streetcar rails and the substitution of bus service. It was reported <br />that the Court had appointed,appraisors; that the appraisors had viewed and appraised <br />the property and there was submitted to the Board an executed and sworn copy of the <br />• <br />0 <br />0 <br />0 <br />C] <br />• <br />• <br />
