I' • • • • CEMETERY DEPARTMENT: Lisle F. McNabb was present and_was_authorized to attend a convention at Lafayette, Indiana, on the 28th day of Junes 1939. Matters pertaining to his department were discussed. REPAIRS TO FIRE DEPARTid:ENT: Chief DeVleeschower was present and was requested to make up total bids for repairs on each individual station on work.required on each station to be made up in separate estimates and submitted to the Board. STREET DEPARTMENT: Mr. Zmudzinski was present and matters pertaining to his department were discussed. Mr. Zmudzinski reported that his department was having much difficulty cleaning streets because of the number of cars parked on the streets after midnight. He requested the Board to ask the Police Department to more strictly enforce the ordinance provided.This matter will be referred to the Police Department. Mr. Zmudzinski also reported that a 1927 Fordson tractor, Motor No. 2420 kad been junked because the block was cracked beyond repair. The wheels were used for the Gilliam grader and the balance of the tractor was sold for junk for $7.50 to J.K.Ellis and a check for that amount was turned over to the Clerk of theBoard. Mr. Zmudzinski was authorized to purchase an air compressor for $100.00. Mr. Zmudzinski turned over to the Board $402.50 received from the sale of oil for oiling streets, which was turned over to theController to pay ffr the oil. TheBoard approved a plan for driveway for the Superior Laundry on Lincoln Nay West as submitted by Mr. Roy. Eger, representing the Asphalt Products Company, the contracting company which will do the work. 'V9'ontrac#or1s bonds of Asphlat Products Corp. and Al. Badur and continuation certi- ficate on Contractorts bond of McVittie H. Kerr wawere approved and ordered filed. / Continuation Certificate on Franchise Bond of Indiana Bell Telephone Company was received, apt oved and ordered filed. Meeting adjourned at 11:20 A.M.
