Trunk Railroad in 'which it was stated that definite has been received. from the State Highway Department that the Department will install from 19259 Federal funds flasher light sig- na.ls with short arm automatic -gates at their Greenlawn Avenue crossi.rig. Also that the same installation will be made where State Road ivo. 123 crosses the._ rack at /I.P. 96.42 The Board decided to defer action regarding this matter, giving the Railroad the oppor- tunity of installing these signals as soon after the first of the year as possible. Tie Clerk was instructed to keep in touch with the matter to see that it is accomplished. 'f. City Traffic Engineer Miller called attention to the guard railing on the south side of Colfax Avenue bridge at the race and the north side of LaSalle Avenue Bridge at the race, stating that some of this railing is missing and should be replaced for the protection of pedestrians. The Board_ directed than the Street Lepartmen.t be instru cted to erect the proper railings. ✓ 1, petition signed by 11 property owners requested treat Liberty Street from 'West ern Avenue to Jefferson Blvd. be greded.
