This report is on file. <br />✓ A. petition requesting the erection of the street light on O'Brien Street be- <br />tween Orange and Linden btreets were presented by 23 residents in that vicinity. <br />This petition was referred to Mr. Qualls for investigation and recommendation. <br />' ✓ Mr. Andersoh, City Civil Engineer, filed plans and the Board adopted said plans <br />together with the following Vacation Resolution: <br />COPY OF VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2494 <br />'/RESOLVED BY TH 1 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORK: OF THL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />That it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />ALLEY SOUTH OF JEFFEERSON BOULEVARD from <br />Lincoln'dWay East to a point 120 feet north, more particu-larly described <br />as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the north line of Lincoln wWay East <br />253.03 feet southeasterly from the north west corner of lot 77 in the <br />Original Plat of South Bend, thence northeasterly at right angles to the north <br />line of Lincoln Way East a distance of 120 feet to the southerly line of an <br />alley parallel to Lincoln Way East, thence southeasterly along said alley a <br />distance of 12 feet, thence southwesterly along a line 12 feet distant from and <br />parallel to the aforementioned line at right angles to Lincoln Way East to the <br />northeAy line /f Lincoln Way East, thence northwesterly along the north line of <br />bincolh Way East a distance of 12 feet to the place of beginning. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such va- . <br />cation: <br />Property bounded on the north by Jefferson Boulevard, on the East byColumbia <br />Street and on the southwesterly side by Lincoln Way East. <br />4INotice of this resolution shall be published on the 5th and of April and on the <br />l:Pth day of April, 1938, in the South Bend Daily Tribune and Suuth Bend News -Times. <br />This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 18th day of April, 1938, at <br />9:00 A.
